Noel Kehoe Pitch Development Under Twelve Cup First
Round
The last sixteen for the Noel Kehoe Under Twelve Cup
was finally known on Saturday as the remaining first round fixtures made use of
the decent weather and all outstanding games got played. Holders Curracloe
United made it through to the second round after they overcame a potentially
tricky tie against division one side Seaview United with Nicole Harding Kenny
scoring the only goal of a very competitive cup tie. Kilmore United comfortably
made it through to the second round overcoming North End United 6-0 with Sophie
Boxwell scoring a hat trick with Kira Bates Crosbie adding two while her
younger sister Aimee also got her name on the scoresheet. Bridge Rovers
travelled to Camolin Celtic and after a very close game, Rovers came out 2-0
winners with Amy O Connor and Aoibhe Manley both on target for the Castlebridge
girls. Cloughbawn were way too strong for St Josephs second team and knocked in
ten without reply with Chloe Merrigan (3), Laura Butler (3), Niamh Rooney (2),
Caitlin Blackburn and Tara Hudson all on target. Tombrack overcame Adamstown in
the all division two clash and progressed 4-1 thanks to goals from Zoe Tobin
Cosgrave (2), Amie Dreelan and Tara Kenny while Jessie Egan scored for
Adamstown. New Ross Town A travelled to Ballywilliam and overcame Shelburne B
by 5 goals to 1 but Shelburne first team travelled to Killenagh and came away
7-0 winners. Ellen Ronan, Brid Madigan and Aoife Ni Eochaidh all scored two
each for Shelburne with Maebh Whitty also on target. Corach Ramblers travelled
to Rosslare Rangers and proved too strong for the home side, progressing 5-0
with Aisling Waters and Shannon Anglim scoring two each while Niamh Miller also
scored. Bunclody overcame St Leonards B 4-1 thanks to goals from Jasmine
Dundon, Rachel Murphy, Katie Bates and Laoise Kearney while Lauren Roche was on
target for the visitors. Courtown Hibs overcame Forth Celtic 5-1 with Louisa
Donnelly on target for Celtic but it was not enough as Amy Robertson (3), Ella
Maree and Lara Walsh all on target for Hibs.
Under Twelve Premier Division
The battle of the top two in this division, saw
Campile make the long journey to Ballindaggin and after a thriller, the South Wexford
side came out on top 2-1. Faye Larkin was on target for the home side but goals
from Eadaoin Kent and Lydia McGrath saw Campile take a very important three
points in their quest for the league title
Under Twelve Division One
St Leonards moved three points clear at the top of
the division after they overcame Gorey Celtic 4-1 on Saturday. Abbie Gibney was
on target for Celtic but two goals from Eimear Gabbett and one each from Shauna
Hackett and Chloe Ryan gave St Leonards victory
Under Twelve Division Three
All Blacks increased their lead at the top of
division three when they travelled to New Ross Town and overcame the home side
second team by two goals to nil
Ger Dunne Under Sixteen Cup First Round
The last outstanding Ger Dunne Cup Under Sixteen
game was played on Saturday and Bree United made it through to the last sixteen
as they overcame Moyne Rangers 4-2. Aoife Devereux scored both Moyne goals
while Louise Butler scored all four goals for the home side
Under Sixteen Premier Division
Curracloe recorded their fifth win of the season and
look title favourites at this stage but they had to work very hard to come away
from Ballindaggin 3-2 winners. Sinead Nolan scored both goals for the home side
but goals from Natasha Byrne, Fiona Kinsella and Lauren Fitzgerald saw the league
leaders take all three points. Kilmore United and St Leonards were in action on
Sunday afternoon but the condition of the pitch won out in the end and the game
was abandoned at half time
Under Sixteen Division One
Cloughbawn overcame an understrength Camolin side
3-0 thanks to goals from Hannah Keating (2) and Jackie Carr. Seaview overcame
St Josephs 5-1 with Kayleigh Shannon, Evelyn Barry, Aine Whelan and Dani Odham
(2) all scoring for the home side. Bunclody picked up an easier than expected
three points when New Ross Town were unable to field a team for their fixture
on Saturday
Under Sixteen Division Two
Bridge Rovers closed the gap on leaders All Blacks
to just three points when overcoming Campile United 3-0 thanks to goals from
Deirdre Byrne, Aisling Byrne and Erin Fikentscher. Wexford Celtic also picked
up three points when overcoming Tombrack 3-1 with Aoife Kelly, Rachel O Keefe
and Rebecca Ennis on target for Celtic while Denise Bolger scored for Tombrack.
Gorey Rangers made the relatively short journey to Arklow Town and came away
4-2 winners with Ciara Hammett scoring all of Rangers goals while Megan Kane and
Doireann Kavanagh were on target for Rangers

Tramore FC 6 Killenagh Wan 3 aet
The home side had to work very hard to overcome
division one side Killenagh having to go all the way to extra time to book
their place in the last eight. In a ding dong battle, Killenagh led 2-0 before
Tramore came back to lead 3-2 only for the visitors to level before the end but
Tramore took control in extra time and ran out 6-3 winners. Isobel Naughter,
Claire Halvey and Leonie Gleeson all scored for Killenagh but goals from Rosie
Flynn (2), Tara Power, Vanessa Ogbonna, Catherine Power and Orla Hickey saw
Tramore through to the quarter finals. Killenagh defender Isobelle Naughter
picked up a nasty ankle injury in the game and had to be removed to hospital
and everyone involved in the game wish her a speedy recovery
Cloughbawn B v St Josephs and Benfica v North End
United both started but were abandoned before half time as the condition of the
pitches deteriorated quickly with both games being refixed for next week
Womens Division One
Glen Celtic 0 Kilmore United 4
Kilmore move top of division one after they overcame
Glen Celtic 4-0 but they paid a heavy cost when experienced player Julie Benson
broke her leg in the final minute of the game. Katrina Parrock scored two while
Lisa Goff and Paula Devereux were also on target for the visitors. All involved
in womens and schoolgirls soccer wish Julie a speedy recovery from her nasty
injury
Womens Division Two A
Shilelagh United 1 Castledockrell United 5
With other results going their way, Castledockrell
are now only one win away from lifting the league title after this 5-1 win in
Shilelagh. Noreen Lambert was on target for the home side but Caitriona Murray
scored a hat trick with Ellen Kelly and Mandy Dunne also finding the net
Taghmon United 0 Camolin Celtic 5
Camolin kept alive their chances of promotion when
travelling to second placed Taghmon and came away surprisingly easy 5-0 winners.
Nicole Curran and Niamh O Leary scored two each with Megan Murray also on
target
Bunclody AFC 0 Rosslare Rangers 2
Rangers picked up their first win of the season when
they travelled to Bunclody and overcame an understrength home side 2-0. After a
scoreless first half, two goals from Ciara Feeney gave the visitors all three
points and potentially a lifeline to save themselves from relegation
Womens Division Two B
Crossabeg AFC 0 Fastnet Rovers 2
Fastnet collected all three points as they accounted
for Crossabeg 2-0 with Annie Breen and Triona Kelly on target for the visitors.
St Leonards 0 Bree United 0
Bree became the first adult title winners of the
season when a very tight scoreless draw saw them gain the point needed to
clinch the league title. The home side still had a mathematical chance of taking
the title themselves so made life difficult for the visitors but with defences
dominating the game remained scoreless and Bree picked up the point needed to
lift the trophy which was duly presented to them by league committee member Tom
“Flash” Dunne
