Played on an excellent surface in St Leonards AFC, Wexford matched the visitors early in the game but were unlucky to concede on ten minutes when Lydia Cook floated the ball into the roof of the net. As the game developed, the MGL broke down the well marshalled home defence and eventually ran out comfortable winners with another goal from Lydia Cook as well as Isobel Finnegan, Keelin McEntee, Leah Farrell, Philippa Watters and Bethany Hand. Wexford can take some positives from the game with an excellent performance from Grainne in the goal as well as Doireann Kavanagh, Linda Bradley and Sandra Murphy
