Under Ten Cup Quarter Final
Curracloe United, Kilmore United, Gorey Celtic and Fastnet Rovers all made it through to the semi finals of the Under Ten Cup after some very exciting and entertaining games last Saturday. Curracloe overcame a very determined effort from division three leaders Taghmon United before progressing through three nil thanks to goals from Sarah Siggins, Sarah Whelan and Sarah Harding Kenny. Moyne Rangers and Kilmore United played out a thrilling encounter before Kilmore eventually progressed one nil after extra time. After a scoreless match where Moyne showed great defensive skills, it was late in the second half of extra time before the visitors eventually found the net when Kira Bates Crosbie finally broke the deeadlock and the hearts of the young Moyne team. Corach Ramblers and Fastnet Rovers played out a thriller that also required extra time to divide the teams with Rovers eventually making it through three two. Fastnet had led two nil but Corach came back to level to bring the game into the extra periods where Fastnet got the winner. Jane Rossiter scored both goals from Corach but Claire McGee, Rachel Bennett and Ann Marie Bennett were all on target for Fastnet. Amy Wilson continued her impressive scoring record when scoring six as they progressed seven one away to All Blacks with Eabha Cahill also scoring while Emily Coakley scored for the Blacks
