Under Twelve Cup Prelim Round

Ballindaggin Seconds             0          Wexford Youths Green           8

Wexford Youths Green side made the journey to Ballindaggn on Saturday morning and will travel to Adamstown in the first round proper after this 8-0 win against a very young home side. Goals from Zoe Kelly (2), Cliona Kearney (2), Rachel Meaney (3) and one from Sarah Leahy saw Youths through

North End United       2          Ballindaggin FC         3

This game was worthy of being the final as these two sides played out a five goal thriller that was filled with drama down to the dying seconds. Ballindaggin controlled the earlier parts of the game and went 3-0 ahead thanks to two goals from Anna Roban and Niamh Doyle but North End battled back with two goals from Katie Law and when they were awarded an injury time penalty, the game looked to be heading for extra time. However, the well taken penalty just grazed the post and went wide and Ballindaggin left Hollygrove a very relieved side

Season’s Greetings

The league would like to wish all its members, supporters and referees a very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year. Games will be back on Saturday January 7^th with a round of Under Ten, Fourteen and Eighteen games while the Women will be back in action the next day.

Fastnet Rovers caused one of the biggest upsets in the history of the league when 

they knocked five times cup winners Benfica out of this years competition and have earned a trip to All Blacks as their reward in the second round. The Waterford side have been struggling all season and currently sit bottom of the Premier division but it would still have been expected that they would overcome the Division Three side. Andrea Holmes was on target for Benfica but goals from Eadaoin Miskella and Lorraine Breen earned Rovers a place in the history books

St Leonards                7          New Ross Town        1

The home side earned a home tie against North End United in the second round after this good win over New Ross Town in a game that was closely contested until the final twenty five minutes when St Leonards superior fitness came to the fore. Sandra Murphy was on target for Town but two goals each from Fiona Ryan and Eimear Gabbett plus one each from Alex Holden, Chloe Banville and Aoife Drennan put the Ballycullane side through

Women’s Premier Division

Curracloe United       0          Ferns United              4

Ferns made it three wins from three games and moved to second in the table after this 4-0 win away to Curracloe United. Goals from Leona Breen, Liz Evered, Rachel Collier and Georgina Moore gave the away side an important three points and move into a strong position heading into the Christmas break

Women’s Division Two A

Camolin collected their first three points of the season and inflicted the first defeat on Cloughbawn as they ran out surprising 10-2 winners. Tina Cullen and Gina Foley were on target for the visitors but goals from Aoife Curran (4), Caroline Murphy (3), Katie Keogh (2) and Niamh O Leary gave Camolin victory

Courtown recorded their sixth win of the season to sit second in the table heading into Christmas although they had to work hard for the three points against a hard working Shelburne side. Kate Devereux scored for the home side while Sonia Redmond and Sarah Lynch were on target for Hibs

Two goals from Hannah Keating had Taghmon 2-0 ahead in this match and they looked to be heading to a first round game at home to Bridge Rovers. However, Bree battled back in the second half with goals from Amy Doyle and Holly Dunbar brought the game to extra time and eventually penalties where they progressed 4-2.

Camolin remain well in contention after proving too strong for Arklow and running out 10-3 winners. Aida Ulainchiv, Ella Dodd and Molly Garland were on target for Town but goals from Megan Byrne (3), Emma Carton (3), Megan Doyle (2), Aine Byrne and Grace O Halloran gave Celtic all three points

Carnew picked up their second win of the season when they overcame Moyne 8-3 in a highly entertaining encounter. Lucy Kemple (3), Leanne Kelly (2), Kaley Kavanagh and Aine O Gorman all scored for the home side while Shanisse O Reilly (2) and Chloe Browne were on target for Rangers

St Josephs      1          Wexford Celtic         3

Wexford Celtic joined St Josephs at the top of the table after this 3-1 win in Kilmuckridge. Aliat Kotun scored twice with Aishling O Sullivan also finding the net to have Celtic in control but St Josephs battled back strongly in the second half but only reward was a goal from Amy Mitten

Division Two A side Cloughbawn proved too strong for division one’s Kilmore and booked their place in the last sixteen courtesy of this 5-2 win. Gina Foley scored a hat trick for the home side with Tina Culen and Kate Cullen adding a goal each

Courtown Hibs travelled to Bree and came away comfortable 6-1 winners against the division one side. Amy Long scored for Bree but two goals each from Lauren Ramsey and Sarah Lynch and one each from Donna O Brien and Aoife Gleeson saw Hibs through

All Blacks had to work hard to get past Division Three joint leaders Stoney. Roisin Furlong scored both goals for the home side while Chloe Foxe was on target for the visitors

Two second half goals saw Tombrack through to the second round when they eventually overcame a hard working young Seaview side. Sarah Merrigan and Mary Boland were on target for the home side

Division One leaders North End United had to work very hard to overcome Two A side Camolin Celtic but eventually booked their place in the second round courtesy of a Shauna Carley goal

Bunclody AFC            6          Wexford Bohs          0

Bunclody had too much fire power for an understrength Bohs side and progressed to the second round 6-0. Britney Conroy continued her good scoring form with a hat trick while Kate Hendrick added two and Jenny Whelan also found the net

Ajax Athletic 0          Seaview United        3  (Abandoned on 48 minutes)

This game had to be abandoned three minutes into the second half when an Ajax player received a nasty head injury and had to be removed to hospital. Everyone involved in this match wish her a speedy recovery. Seaview were leading 3-0 at the time

Pltown came out on top in this high scoring encounter and go into the hat for the second round draw. Eimear Murphy and Eileen Murphy (2) were on target for Shelburne while Annemarie Toth, Dorothy Hughes and Emily O Mahoney (5) all scored for the visitors

Both these sides remain in contention for the title after this very tight game saw the sides end level. Emer O Leary put St Josephs ahead in the first half but a second half goal from Fiona Ryan earned St Leonards a point

Bunclody made the trip to Aughrim a worthwhile one as they ran out 6-0 winners to book their place in Division Two A which will kick off in January. Mia Dunne was in fine scoring form as she knocked in five while Emily Rothwell also got her name on the scoresheet

The home side picked up their fourth win of the season and finished second in the group to qualify for a place in Division One

Wexford Youths rounded off the first half of the season when they travelled to Cloughbawn and came away 2-0 winners, making it four wins from four games and a place in Division One

These two sides played a very entertaining five goal thriller before Kilmore eventually came out on top 3-2. Keelin Gallagher and Rachel Nacey were on target for Ramblers but a Jessie Clooney hat trick gave the visitors all three points

Town are through to the last sixteen of the Under Ten Cup when they overcame Seaview 5-0. Abi Rossiter and Ava O Leary scored two each with Shauna Power also finding the net for the winners

Moyne cam out in top in this evenly contested encounter and booked their place in the second round courtesy of this 2-0 win. Katlyn Cooney scored both goals for the young home side

Premier One Shield Semi Finals

Ferns are through to the shield final but had to work hard to eventually overcome a hard working Curracloe side. Aoife Devereux scored twice while a Curracloe defender also deflected the ball to the net to put the holders through to the final

Seaview United         1          East End United         0

Seaview continued their god season when they overcame East End by a solitary first half goal to book their place in the Shield final. Ali Staats was the heroine for the home side when she scored on twenty five minutes and while both sides went close for the remainder of the game, this goal proved to be the difference between the two sides

Women’s Divisional Shield Quarter Final

Camolin Celtic made the long journey to Ballycullane and booked their place in the semi final of the Women’s Shield when they came away 2-1 winners. Fiona Ryan was on target for the home side but two goals from Aoife Curran saw Camolin through to a semi final meeting with St Josephs

Adamstown moved to the top of the Premier division after they travelled to Waterford and overcame Benfica by the odd goal in five. Becky Conroy scored two goals for the home side but two goals from Marcella Cullen and one from Chantelle Martin gave the visitors a very important three points

Even at this early stage of the season it is difficult not to see North End lift the division one title as they moved nine points clear after this 5-2 win over Kilmore. Katrina Parrock and Cora Miller scored for Kilmore but goals from Aoife Tormey, Martina Pender, Diane Leniston and two from Rebecca Foley gave North End their sixth win in a row

Women’s Division Two A

Cloughbawn moved up to second in the table when they overcame Moyne 3-1 despite the home side unluckily hitting the post twice in the second half. Siobhan Grant Moorehead was on target for Moyne while Gina Foley, Rose Kehoe and Jessica Martin scored for Cloughbawn

Women’s Division Two B

Courtown Hibs          3          Bunclody AFC            5

A six minute burst in the second half where Bunclody scored three goals was the main difference between these two sides in this top table clash. Bunclody led 2-0 at half time and were 5 up on fifty one minutes thanks to four goals from Britney Conroy and from Kate Hendrick. A Lauren Ramsey hat trick brought Hibs back in the game but it was too late and Bunclody held on for the three points

Seaview United B      3          Rosslare Rangers      2

Seaview second team moved up to joint second after this 3-2 win over title

challengers Rosslare Rangers. Eimear Whelan scored a hat trick for the home side while Clodagh Cousins scored both goals for Rangers

Women’s Division Three

Cushinstown AFC      1          Fastnet Rovers          5

Fastnet have hit a run of form in recent weeks and have moved up to joint third in the table after this win away to Cushinstown. Antoinette Whelan was on target for the home side while Annie Breen (2), Lorraine Breen (2) and Joanne Jordan scored for Rovers. The game was 1-1 with fifteen minutes remaining

Stoney remain joint top of the table after they travelled to Ajax and came away 4-0 winners for their fifth win of the season. Chloe Foxe continued her good scoring form with three goals while Aine Breen also found the net

Tombrack United      2          St Cormacs    0

The home side remain deadlocked at the top of the table after this 2-0 win over a battling St Cormacs side who hit the post when the game was 1-0. Kelli Maguire put Tombrack ahead in the first half and Tammy Hennessy made it 2-0 seven minutes from the end

The home side move joint top of the premier division after this 8-2 win over a battling St Leonards side. Niamh Doyle with four, a hat trick from Anna Roban and a goal from Carla Cloney made up the Ballindaggin tally. Doireann Rossiter and Katie Whelan were on target for the visitors

These two sides produced an exciting 2-2 draw that earned them both a deserved point which was Kilmore’s first of the season. Seaview led 2-0 with goals from Emily Sheriff and Molly O Shea but Kimore battled back strong in the second half and goals from Kennedy Cullen and Leah Wall brought the sides level

Katie Law continued her impressive season and scored an impressive six as North End kept in touch with the leaders after this 7-4 win over Moyne. Shannon Maguire was also on target for the home side while Cassie O Rourke (3) and Erin Carley scored for Moyne

These two sides played out a thrilling 4-4 draw to keep them both in contention for the league title. With the lead changing hands several times, a draw was probably the fairest result in the end with Caoimhe Whelan (3) and Jenny Reamonn on target for the home side while Cora Sinnott (2), Aoibheann Rankin and Kiera Casey scoring for All Blacks

Under Twelve Division Two A

New Ross Celtic        3          Corach Ramblers     2

Celtic have moved top of the division after this win but they were made to work very hard for the three points by a rapidly improving Corach Ramblers whose two goals were scored by Sarah Murphy. However goals from Casey Murphy, Aoife Kielthy and Aoife Cowman gave Celtic victory.

Bree have moved up to joint second after a good win away to Adamstown. Eilish Roche was on target for the home side but a hat trick from Grace Donohoe and a goal each from Aoibhe Donegan, Faith Doyle and Casey Cullen gave the visitors their third win of the season

The home side moved well clear in second place and still in touch with leaders New Ross Town when they overcame Rosslare Strand 5-0. All five of the St Josephs goals were scored by the impressive Sarah Walsh

Ross Town made it six wins from six games as they overcame a young Tombrack side with nine goals to spare. Aoibh Thomas (5), Ella Nolan (2), Emma Rossiter and Leah Ryan were all on target for an impressive home side

Cushinstown recorded their second win of the season and sit comfortably in mid table after this 4-0 win over Gorey Rangers second team. The home side led 1-0 at the break through Ella Rossiter and second half goals from Ella Bennett, Sarah Finn and Abbie Gaffney secured the three points

Rangers made it six wins from six games when they proved much too strong for a young hard working Ballindaggin second team. Abigail Clarke scored four while Tegan Fortune, Bobby Culleton and Grace Noonan all scored two each

These two under twelve sides played out a very closely contested encounter before Town’s second string eventually got the goal that gave them their first win of the season. Zara Thomas scored the all important goal to give her side all three points

Two first half goals from Layla Fenlon had Rovers 2-0 up at the break and although Shelburne pulled one back through Aoibheann Ryan, Rovers held on for their historic victory

Aughrim made it six wins from six games and edged clear at the top of the table after this win over Forth Celtic White. Sinead Cullen scored for Celtic but four goals from Abigail Whitney and one from Lacey Jane Shannon gave Aughrim the win

Cloughbawn’s excellent run in the FAI Under Sixteen cup came to an end on Saturday when they were eventually beaten 3-2 by a physically stronger Mount Merrion side in a thrilling cup tie. Sarah Siggins and Laura Butler were on target for the home side but goals from Kerry Ann Hamilton, Ali Lyons and Bryna Mehady saw the MGL side through to the quarter finals

The home side picked up their first win of the season when they overcame Shelburne 5-1. Aisling Breen was on target for Shelburne but three goals from Ciara Roban and one each from Geri Rose O Connor and Michaela Murphy gave Bunclody all three points

Tombrack made it four wins from four games when they overcame a young Courtown Hibs side with five goals to spare. Nadine Fortune and Kelli Maguire scored two each with Nicola Ryan also finding the net

Seaview made the long journey to Gorey Rangers a fruitful one when they came away 3-0 winners to record their first win of the season. Molly Dillon, Aoife Nolan and Sinead Murphy all scored for the visitors

Corach Ramblers      0          New Ross Town       7

New Ross Town are top of the table and unbeaten after this win away to Corach Ramblers. Eadaoin Kent with a hat trick, two goals from Jenny Canning and one each from Amy Lawlor and Jenny O Keefe gave Town a 7-0 win

Wexford Celtic          9          Camolin Celtic          1

The home side have moved into contention for the title after this big win over leaders Camolin Celtic. Aishling O Sullivan with five, Aliat Kotun and Ava Donohue with two each made up Wexford Celtic’s tally while Emma Warren scored a penalty for Camolin

Moyne picked up their first point of the season after this 2-2 draw away to Arklow Town with Ella Jenkinson and Aida Ubineninvich both scored for the home side

Carnew FC     1          St Josephs     3

With leaders Camolin slipping up in Wexford Celtic, St Josephs took full advantage in Carnew to win 3-1 and take over at the top of the table. Kaley Kavanagh was on target for the home side while Laura Furlong, Ciara Lyons and Ella Cullen all scored for the visitors

Women’s Premier Division

East End United         0          Adamstown LFC        4

Adamstown moved to within a point of the leaders after they travelled to leaders East End United and came away 4-0 winners. Chantelle Martin showed a return to scoring form with two goals with Jasmine Martin and Sandra Thorpe also both scoring in this vital victory

Seaview United         5          Benfica LFC    2

Seaview have edged to the top of the Premier division after they overcame a Benfica side who find themselves currently bottom of the table. Seaview led 5-0 thanks to goals from Brid Kehoe (2), Maebh Kehoe, Libby Sutton and Kellie Mullan before Benfica scored two late goals through Lisa Dower

Women’s Division One

Piltown FC      0          All Blacks        1

All Blacks made the long trip to Piltown and came away with a vital three points that moves them into second place in the division. Roisin Furlong scored the only goal of the game in a very closely fought battle between two skilful football teams and this win sees All Blacks leapfrog Piltown into second place

Women’s Division Two A

St Josephs      3          Camolin Celtic           1

The home side are now three points clear at the top of the table after they overcame Camolin Celtic 3-1 in kilmuckridge on Sunday morning. Michelle Gahan had St Josephs 2-0 up at half time before Aoife Curran pulled one back early in the second half but Joeys had the final say when a Camolin defender deflected to her own net seven minutes from the end

Moyne Rangers         4          New Ross Town        2

Rangers collected their second win of the season when they overcame a determined Ross Town 4-2 to move away from the relegation zone. Siobhan Grant Moorehead scored a hat trick while Aideen Byrne was also on target for Moyne while Linda Kelly and Sandra Murphy was on target for Town

Courtown Hibs made it five wins from five games and sit just a point behind leaders Bunclody after this hard earned win in Rosslare Rangers. Therese Flynn and Marian Cardiff had Hibs 2-0 up at the break and Therese added a second midway through the second half to ensure victory

Shannon Doyle scored a hat trick for Seaview second team but it was not enough as the home side scored through Mairead O Shea, Shauna Cowman, Eimear Murphy and Becca Foley gave Shelburne a 4-3 win

Tombrack United      5          Cushinstown AFC      0

Tombrack joined Stoney at the top of the table after they overcame a hard working Cushinstown side 5-0. Goals from Sarah Merrigan, Leanne Kenny and Mary Boland had them 3-0 ahead at the break and second half goals from Sharon Walsh and Tammy Hennessy wrapped up the three points

The home side moved up to third in the table when they overcame an improving Ajax side in an eight goal thriller. Lorraine Fortune with four and Aoife Sutton made up the home side tally while Sophie Savage scored a hat trick for the visitors

Fastnet picked up their second win of the season when proving too strong for Bridge Rovers and eventually running out 6-3 winners. Deirdre Byrne and Hayley Lacey (2) scored for Bridge while Joanne Jordan (2), Annie Breen (2), Kathlynn Gabbett and Shirley O Neill were all on target for the home side

FAI Under Eighteen Inter League

Limerick and District League           1          Wexford and District League          2

Wexford made the long journey to foggy Dooradoyle on Sunday afternoon and got their FAI Inter League campaign off to a winning start when they scored a late winner. Both sides produced some top class football and it was evident from early on that there was going to be little between the sides with both goalkeepers performing excellently with Wexford’s Grainne McCabe producing a player of the match display. After a scoreless first half, Wexford eventually broke the deadlock when Siobhan Doolan scored early in the second half after some good built up display but the home side battled back and levelled with fifteen minutes remaining. As it looked as if both sides might have to settle for a point each, Siobhan Doolan got on the end of a Natasha Byrne cross to score in the ninetieth minute and earn Wexford an opening day win. Well done to manager Alan Browne and his team of coaches and of course the players who produced a great  performance despite such a short lead in time to prepare

The home side are showing themselves to be very competitive at this age group and have been involved in some very tight matches this season. Leah Roban was on target for the visitors but Town did score in the second half through Cira Nolan to earn themselves a point

Curracloe have moved clear at the top of the division after this 4-1 win over near neighbours Bridge Rovers. Aoife McEldowney scored for the visitors but two goals each from Polly Redmond and Zara Corrigan gave Curracloe an important three points

Tombrack United      6          Aughrim Rangers    0

The home side rounded off the first half of the season unbeaten and finished top of the North section after this win over an Aughrim side who will feel unfortunate not to have at least scored. Mikayla Tobin Cosgrave scored a hat trick to add to two goals from Emer Roche and one from Ciara Kenny

Hibs recorded their second win of the season when they travelled to Carnew and came away 5-0 winners to secure their place in Division Two A for the second half of the season. Izzy Kenna continued her good scoring form with a hat trick while Ellie Cornish hit the net twice

Wexford Youths        7          Bree United               1

The Youths will finish top of the East section and will compete in Division One in the new year after this 7-1 win over a young Bree side. Louise Reville scored for the visitors but Aoife Doran (4), Layla Stafford (2) and Alexa Clancy were all on target for Wexford Youths

Moyne Rangers         2          Forth Celtic               0

Two goals from Katlyn Conroy gave Moyne Rangers a surprise win over Forth Celtic and moved up to mid table. In a very closely contested and exciting match it was Katlyn’s accuracy in front of goal that proved to be the decisive factor between the two sides

All Blacks will go into division one as probably one of the favourites for the title as they recorded their fourth win from four games in this win over a young Rosslare Strand side. Ciara Murphy (3) and Naomi Denton (2) scored for the home side while Lucia O Donoghue was on target for Strand

Celtic recorded their first win of the season when they overcame Shelburne by a single goal in a very close tight affair. Aaliyah Animashaun scored the only goal of the game midway through the second half

Ballindaggin made it three wins from three games when overcoming Kilmore 5-0 and remain two points clear at the top of the division. Zoe Lett, Lauren Roban, Aoife O Leary, Orlaith Kehoe and Katie Bates were all on target for the home side as they collected all three points

Hibs remained unbeaten and in touch with the leaders after this 5-0 win over a young Cloughbawn side who worked very hard to keep the home side at bay. Sasha Green scored two with Emma Lynch, Amy Robertson and Holly Tobin all scoring for the winners

The home side lost touch with the leaders after they were held to a draw by a hard working Moyne Rangers who were good value for their 2-2 draw. Ann Marie Roche and Jenna Molloy scored for the home side while Shannon Peare and Shanise O Reilly were on target for Moyne

Forth Celtic made it four wins from four games when they travelled to Kilmuckridge and overcame the home side 4-1. Edel Kehoe was on target for St Josephs while Lauren McLoughlin and Grace Roche with two each gave Celtic victory

All Blacks are looking very impressive in this division as they travelled to Shelburne and came away with all three points in impressive fashion. Grace Donovan was on target for Corach but Tombrack recorded their second win of the season when they ran out 7-1 winners. Nadine Fortune (4), Shauna McGovern (2) and Zoe Tobin Cosgrave were all on target for the winners

North End made the short trip to Ferrycarrig a worthwhile one when they came away with the three points to remain unbeaten and joint top of the table. Katie Law continued her impressive season with five while Chelsey King added two while Caoimhe Lawlor also found the net

Seaview are also unbeaten and remain deadlocked at the top of the table with North End after this 6-1 win over Gorey Rangers. Ava White Keating scored a hat trick while Erin Shannon, Jamie Walsh and Ciaradh Connolly all added a goal each

Adamstown came out on top in this battle of the top two in the division when they accounted for a youthful Aughrim side 5-0. Karlina Jaglarz scored twice with Ellen Duggan, Chloe Doyle and Lara Banville all adding one each to give their side their fourth win from four games

Celtic recorded their second win of the season and sit mid table after this 4-0 win over bottom side Rosslare Strand. Ciara Mullaly scored all four for the hard working home side
