Division Two A side
Cloughbawn proved too strong for division one’s Kilmore and booked their place
in the last sixteen courtesy of this 5-2 win. Gina Foley scored a hat trick for
the home side with Tina Culen and Kate Cullen adding a goal each
Bree United 1 Courtown
Hibs 6
Courtown Hibs
travelled to Bree and came away comfortable 6-1 winners against the division
one side. Amy Long scored for Bree but two goals each from Lauren Ramsey and
Sarah Lynch and one each from Donna O Brien and Aoife Gleeson saw Hibs through
All Blacks 2
Stoney LFC 1
All Blacks had to
work hard to get past Division Three joint leaders Stoney. Roisin Furlong
scored both goals for the home side while Chloe Foxe was on target for the
visitors
Tombrack United 2
Seaview United “B” 0
Two second half goals
saw Tombrack through to the second round when they eventually overcame a hard
working young Seaview side. Sarah Merrigan and Mary Boland were on target for
the home side
North End United 1
Camolin Celtic 0
Division One leaders
North End United had to work very hard to overcome Two A side Camolin Celtic
but eventually booked their place in the second round courtesy of a Shauna
Carley goal
Bunclody AFC 6
Wexford Bohs 0
Bunclody had too
much fire power for an understrength Bohs side and progressed to the second
round 6-0. Britney Conroy continued her good scoring form with a hat trick
while Kate Hendrick added two and Jenny Whelan also found the net
Ajax Athletic 0
Seaview United 3 (Abandoned on 48 minutes)
This game had to be
abandoned three minutes into the second half when an Ajax player received a
nasty head injury and had to be removed to hospital. Everyone involved in this
match wish her a speedy recovery. Seaview were leading 3-0 at the time
Shelburne FC 3
Piltown FC 7
Pltown came out on
top in this high scoring encounter and go into the hat for the second round
draw. Eimear Murphy and Eileen Murphy (2) were on target for Shelburne while
Annemarie Toth, Dorothy Hughes and Emily O Mahoney (5) all scored for the
visitors
Women’s Division Two
A
St Josephs 1
St Leonards 1
Both these sides
remain in contention for the title after this very tight game saw the sides end
level. Emer O Leary put St Josephs ahead in the first half but a second half
goal from Fiona Ryan earned St Leonards a point
