Wexford and District Womens and Schoolgirls League 16-10-2011

Under Twelve Premier Division
Shelbourne      1          Curracloe United        1
These two sides look like potential title contenders as they played out an exciting one all draw on Saturday in Ballywilliam. Kelly O Rourke was on target for the home side while Sarah Siggins scored for Curracloe

Campile United           0          Glen Celtic      4
Glen Celtic travelled to Campile and came away with all three points as they proved too strong for the home side. Aoife Nolan, Ava Kelly, Kaitlyn Whelan and Sinead Reck were all on target for Celtic who always looked in control

Bree United    1          Bunclody AFC           1
Both these sides picked up their first point of the season after a closely contested one all draw. Laura Butler opened the scoring for the home side in the first half but a second half goal from Kellie Maguire earned Bunclody a point

Under Twelve Division One
North End United       0          Ferns United   6
A young North End side struggled to come to the terms with a Ferns side who made it two wins from their two games to date. Two goals each from Charlotte Stammers, Nicole Cullen and Nicole Ryan ensured that the visitors took the three points

Kilmore United           2          Fastnet Rovers            `0
After their exploits in the Provincial and National competition, Kilmore began their league campaign with a win over near neighbours Fastnet Rovers in a very  entertaining match. The home side took all three points thanks to a first half goal from Kira Bates Crosbie and a second half strike from Emily Bates

Moyne Rangers           0          Ballindaggin    3
Ballindaggin look very strong at this age group and proved too strong for Moyne Rangers, running out three nil winners. Goals from Clodagh O Leary, Aoife Devereux and Ciara Roban ensured victory for the visitors

Under Twelve Division Two A
St Leonards     6          Courtown Hibs           0
The Ballycullane girls picked up a comfortable three points as they proved too strong for a young Courtown Hibs side. Fiona Ryan scored four to add to goals from Laura Cullen and Niamh Brown

Taghmon United         1          Gorey Celtic    5
Amy Wilson continued her excellent run of form in front of goal as she scored all five of Celtics goals in this win away to Taghmon. Emma Clarke was on target for the home side

All Blacks       4          Seaview United          1
A goal from Alison Molloy had Seaview a goal ahead after just five minutes but then All Blacks settled into the game and ran out four winners. Emily Coakley scored a hat trick for the home side with Aoife Cardiff also finding the net

Under Twelve Division Two B
Adamstown    0          Bridge Rovers 4
Bridge Rovers were too strong for Adamstown and ran out four nil winners

Tombrack United        0          Corach Ramblers         5
Corach Ramblers looked very impressive as they made the long journey to Tombrack a worthwhile one as they took all three points courtesy of a five nil win. Jane Rossiter scored a hat trick with Amy Fleming and Sonka Schreiberova also on target

New Ross Town         2          Shelbourne B  1
New Ross Town opened their league campign with a win over Shelbourne second team, thanks to two goals from Amy Walsh, one coming late in injury time. Katie O Keefe was on target for the visitors

Under Twelve Division Three
Rosslare Rangers         1          Rathnure United         5
Caitlin Broaders was on target for Rangers but it was not enough against a Rathnure side who collected their second win of the season. Norah Higgins scored a hat trick while Aisling Breen scored twice to give the visitors all three points

Cloughbawn    0          Kilmore United B       0
These two young sides played out a thrilling scoreless draw, earning a point each with both sides creating several chances but finding both sets of defences in unbeatable form

Kilmore United           0          Shelbourne      4
Shelbourne are looking very strong at under sixteen level this season and were too good for a young Kilmore side running out four nil winners. Mary Tyrell scored twice with Megan Whitty and Marie Claire Byrne adding a goal each

North End United       2          Curracloe United        3
This closely contested tie saw Curracloe make the short journey into Wexford town and take the three points with the odd goal in five. Rebecca Foley and Mary Carroll scored for North End but two goals from Nadine Shannon and one from Amy Banville gave Curracloe victory

Under Sixteen Division One
Bree United    1          Seaview United          4
Seaview opened their league campaign with a comfortable four one win away to Bree

Moyne Rangers           0          Forth Celtic     3
Forth Celtic picked up their second win of the season when overcoming Moyne Rangers by three clear goals. Chloe Fox scored twice with Eimear Doherty scoring to make sure of the three points

Killenagh Wan            5          Bunclody AFC           1
The home side opened their league campign with a five one win at home to Bunclody. Katie Sheehan scored for the visitors but goals from Roisin O Connor, Aimee Traynor, Leanne Bolger, Sinead Gaynor and Cailin Fitzpatrick gave Wanderers the points

Under Sixteen Division Two
Taghmon United         7          Rosslare Rangers         1
Rosslare took the lead in this match with a goal from Elizabeth O Connor but after that, Taghmon took over the match and ran out seven one winners. Two goals each from Sarah Banville, Ailish Sinnott and Amy Dee plus one from Jessie Doyle saw the home side take all three points

All Blacks       1          Ballindaggin    6
Rachel Kenny was in very good form for Ballindaggin as she scored four to add to goals from Shannon Casey and Eimear Redmond while Tara Kenny scored for All Blacks

Tombrack United        4          Corach Ramblers         6
This high scoring thriller saw Ramblers leave Tombrack with the three points as they ran six four in a ten goal fest. Hayley Browne, Mairead O Rourke, Denise Bolger and Georgina Creane all scored for the home side while Mairead Moran scored five for Ramblers and Sarah Farrell added one

Womens Premier Division
Ferns United   3          Seaview United          0
The home side have improved on their early season form and moved up to mid table after proving too strong for promoted Seaview who are finding life difficult in the top division. Goals from Leona Breen, Josie Dwyer and Belynda Cahill had Ferns always in control and it might be too early to write Ferns off as title contenders yet

Benfica            0          Killenagh Wan            2
Killenagh made the long journey to Waterford a worthwhile one when overcoming a young home side with a goal in each half. Sara Donnelan put the visitors ahead and a goal from Aisling Carroll secured the victory

St Cormacs      2          Tramore FC     3
The visitors made the long journey to Boolavogue in this top premier clash and got the ideal start when going one nil ahead after just two minutes through Orla Hickey. Michelle Darcy levelled but Tara Power had Tramore back level just before half time. Leanne Clancy made it three one early in the second half and despite constant pressure from the home side they could only pull another back through Amy Walsh with ten minutes remaining

Womens Division One A
Kilmore United           0          Enniscorthy Town       4
Enniscorthy Town came out on top in this top table clash in division one when travelling to Kilmore and coming away as comfortable four nil winners. Two goals each from Fiona Dunne and Jessica Martin saw Town take the points as Kilmore fell away in the second half after training by a goal at the break

Coolgreaney Celtic     1          North End United       1
These two sides played out a one all draw that keeps them both just above the bottom two. Anne Higgins was on target for Celtic while Shauna Gleeson scored for North End in a very evenly contested match

Shelbourne      4          Forth Celtic     1
The home side moved into a challenging position after this win over Forth Celtic as their second half performance proved too strong for Forth. Sharon O Donoghue scored for Celtic but two goals fro Charlotte o Keefe and one each for Jodie Keane and Aoife Connick gave Shelbourne all three points

Womens Division One B
Tombrack United        0          Glen Celtic      4
A disappointing first half performance from Tombrack saw Glen Celtic take control and lead four nil at the break thanks to two goals from Jade Sludds and one each from Lorraine O Connor and Diane Reck. A much closer second half saw no further goals but saw Celtic take all three points to move second

Arklow United            1          Shilelagh United         5
Shilelagh moved joint top of the division when overcoming Arklow United in this all Wicklow derby. Jessica McDonald scored for the home team but two goals each from Fiona Byrne and Claire Turner as well as one from Valerie Keogh gave Shilelagh the points

Womens Division Two A
Fastnet Rovers            3          New Ross Town         3
These two sides played out a thrilling three all draw with Rovers having to come from behind to claim a point. Annie Breen, Lorraine Breen and Lucy Crosbie were all on target for the home side

Taghmon United         0          All Blacks       5
All Blacks travelled to Horetown and took all three points as they overcame the home side by five goals to nil. Roisin Furlong was in good scoring form with a hat trick to add to a goal each from Becky Kehoe and Alison o Doherty

Castledockrell United 4          Rosslare Rangers         0
The home side picked up their first three points of the season when overcoming Rosslare Rangers four nil. Lauren Byrne scored twice with Niamh Murphy and Deirdre Codd also getting on the scoresheet

Womens Division Two B
Bree United    1          Rosslare Strand           3
Rosslare Strand sit joint top of the table after travelling to an improving Bree side and coming away with all three points. Grainne Byrne was on target for the home side while two goals from Jenny Murphy and one from Jo Scallan gave Strand victory

Moyne Rangers           6          Campile United           2
Moyne are well in contention in this division after a Laura Murphy hat trick laid the foundation for this win over Campile. Ciara Tobin scored two for the home side while Laura Foley also scored with Leanne Doyle and Laura Kent on target for Campile

Crossabeg AFC           0          Camolin Celtic            13
Camolin hit scoring form against new club Crossabeg and knocked in thirteen without reply. Megan Murray scored a hat trick with Katie Kehoe, Niamh O Leary, Ciara Corrigan and Orla Doyle all adding two each while Alma Swaine and Laura O Leary scored one each

Ciara Rossiter on Under Seventeen International Panel
Congratulations to Forth Celtics Ciara Rossiter who played in the Republic of Ireland Under Seventeen team that qualified for the Elite phase and played a vital part in all three games as the team finished top of the group. They opened the campaign with a six one win over group hosts Macedonia, then followed up with a hard earned three two victory over Romania before achieving the point they needed in a one all draw against Italy. Ciara played in all three matches and has quickly established herself as an integral part of this team which will now be busy in preparation for the elite phase which will take place in Spring of 2012. She carries on a tradition of players from the league who have played for their country with Rianna Jarrett currently part of the Under Nineteen squad who have also reached the elite phase of their competition
