Wexford and District Womens and Schoolgirls League 09-10-11

Under Ten Premier League
Fastnet Rovers            3          Curracloe United        1
This was Curracloes first defeat at this age group in the league for over two years and on the day, Fastnet Rovers were well deserved winners. Danielle O Leary scored for the visitors but goals from Nadine Cunningham, Kathlynn Gabbett and Ciara Ryan gave Rovers a winning start to the season.

Shelbourne      2          Kilmore United           6
 In the other match in this division, a top class display from Ciara Bates Comerford saw her score all six goals as Kilmore travelled to Shelbourne and come away six two winners with Katie Murphy and Ella Lyng scoring for the home side

Under Ten Division One
Bunclody AFC           1          Campile United           5
Rachel Murphy was on target for the home side but it was not enough as Campile made the long early journey to Bunclody worth while as Eadaoin Kent scored twice to add to goals from Amelia Coyne, Kathryn Dempsey and Michelle Dempsey

Ferns United   1          Moyne Rangers           7
A very young Ferns side struggled against a very strong Moyne side who ran out comfortable winners. Nadine Fortune scored for the home side but four goals from Faye Larkin, two from Paige Mitchell and one from Ava O Connor gave Moyne a winning start

Forth Celtic     3          All Blacks       0
Celtic opened the new season with a win over near neighbours All Blacks as goals from Aoife Bridges, Ellen Goggins and Hannah Murphy gave them all three points

Under Ten Division Two B
Killenagh Wan            3          Bridge Rovers 1
Two goals from Megan Doyle and one from Maria Dunne gave Killenagh Wanderers the three points against a very good Bridge Rovers who scored through Francis Moody

Taghmon United         1          Glen Celtic      1
These two young sides played out a very entertaining one all draw with Theresa Redmond scoring for the home side and Leah Scallan scoring for Celtic

Under Ten Division Three
Tombrack United        0          Cloughbawn    0
These two very young sides played out a very entertaining scoreless draw in front of a very enthusiastic crowd. Both sides had chances to win but a point each was a fair result in the end

Camolin Celtic            1          St Leonards     2
St Leonards made the long journey to Camolin worth while as they snatched victory with goals from Lauren Roche and Chloe Ryan while Aine Byrne scored for the home side

Under Fourteen Premier Division
St Josephs       5          Forth Celtic     0
The home side opened their campaign with a five nil win over Forth Celtic thanks to goals from Pamela Walsh, Niamh O Connor, Alysha Twomey and two goals from Annie Dempsey

Bree United    0          Shelbourne      3
These two sides played out a cracking game in Bree on Saturday with Shelbourne taking their chances to win three nil. Hannah Keating scored twice with Shauna Wall ensuring the three points with a second half penalty

Under Fourteen Division One
Campile United           3          St Leonards     3
This local derby produced a thrilling three all draw that could have gone either way but a point each was probably a fair result in the end. Sinead Ryan scored twice for Campile with Grainne Ryan adding one while Ciara Ryan scored a hat trick for the Ballycullane side

Under Fourteen Division Two A
Bunclody AFC           5          Bridge Rovers 0
Two goals each from Kate Hendrick and Britney Conroy and one from Kelli Maguire gave Bunclody the three points as they proved too strong for a young Bridge Rovers side

Moyne Rangers           6          North End United       0
Four goals from Aideen Byrne and two from Gina Murphy gave Moyne Rangers a flying start to the season against a young North End side. The home side were always in control and collected a comfortable three points

Camolin Celtic            8          Cloughbawn    1
A Talia Murphy goal for a young Cloughbawn side was not enough against a very talented to home side. Aoife Curran scored four with Nicola Curran scoring three and Teghan Furlong adding one

Rosslare Rangers         6          Wexford Celtic           0
Rangers opened their league campaign with a comfortable six nil win over Wexford Celtic. Caoimhe Mckeon scored a hat trick with Megan Pierce scoring twice and Nina Williams also finding the net


All Blacks       1          New Ross Town         3
Despite being understrength, the home side led one nil up until midway through the second half thanks to a goal from Sarah Brennan. However, the fitness and numbers paid off for New Ross Town as late goals from Leah Arnold, Janine Doyle and Jessica Tobin gave them victory

Ferns United   6          Tombrack United        2
A very strong Ferns side came out on top in this local derby against a young Tombrack side who battled  right to the end. Denise Bolger scored twice for the visitors but a hat trick from Gemma Kehoe and one each from Hayley Nolan, Belynda Cahill and Leona Breen gave the home side the three poingts

Seaview United          1          Adamstown    2
A very closely contested tie saw Adamstown leave Duncannon with the three points after two goals from Katie White put them in front after Sheena Murphy had put the home side ahead.

Shelbourne      7          St Cormacs      0
Played on Sunday, Shelbourne were too strong for St Cormacs running out comfortable seven nil winners. Lucy Sherwin and Gina Foley scored two each with Charlotte O Keefe, Siobhan Grant Moorehead and Mary Tyrell all adding one each

Womens Premier Division
Seaview United          0          Adamstown    1
Adamstown came away from Duncannon for the second day in a row with a single goal victory in a very close exciting encounter. After a scoreless first half, Seaview could have went ahead but missed a penalty and their day really went downhill when a defender deflected the ball into her own net for what proved to be the only goal of the game.

Killenagh Wanderers  2          Ferns United   2
Both these sides picked up their first point of the season when sharing the spoils in a two all draw. Liz Everedd and Mary O Neill had Ferns two nil ahead at the break but Killenagh showed great spirit and got back on level terms with goals from Sara Donnelan and Tracy Byrne

Curracloe United        2          Tramore FC     7
Tramore made it two wins from two games as they comfortably overcame a Curracloe side who have been heavily hit by the loss of players to the Wexford National League squad. A hat trick from Orla Hickey and one each from Vanessa Ogbonna, Eimear Fennell, Rachel Wall and Ashling Frawley saw Tramore always in control. Fiona Bennett scored twice for Curracloe in a game where the home side battled hard but had no answer to the fire power of the visitors

Womens Division One A
Enniscorthy Town       4          Forth Celtic     1
Caoimhe Dunne scored for the visitors but it was not enough to halt Enniscorthy Town achieving their third win of the season and move well clear at the top of the table. Fiona Dunne, Lorna Murphy and two goals from Nicola Davitt saw Town comfortable collect the three points

Kilmore United           4          Coolgreaney Celtic     1
Niamh Moore put the home side ahead early in the first half but Audrey Whitty brought Coolgreaney level just before the break. However a second half Katrina Parrock hat trick wrapped up the vicory for Kilmore and move them into second place

North End United       6          St Josephs       0
A hat trick from Shauna Gleeson set North End well on the way to three points as her side recovered from last weeks heavy defeat as they overcame St Josephs six nil. Danielle Kehoe, Katie O Leary and Jessica Beary were also on target for the Wexford town side

Womens Division One B
Tombrack United        1          Corach Ramblers         2
Two first half goals from Leanne O Grady and Tracey Sinnott had Corach in control in this match and although Tombrack attacked strongly in the second half they could only manage the one goal scored by Laura Johnston Doran

Courtown Hibs           1          Shilelagh United         5
Shilelagh look to be very strong in this division and proved too good away to Courtown Hibs, coming away five one winners. Vikki Larkin scored for the home side but a hat trick from Claire Turner and one each from Celine Hennessy and Fiona Byrne gave the Wicklow side all three points

Glen Celtic      1          Wexford Celtic           2
These two sides produced a thrilling match before Wexford Celtic eventually collected the three points with a well struck Kim Walker goal. Lorraine O Connor had put Glen Celtic ahead but Elve Lynch levelled before half time before Kim scored her winner with eight minutes remaining

Womens Division Two A
New Ross Town         1          New Ross Celtic         1
The first ever all New Ross derby in womens soccer saw the teams share the points in a very exciting competitive match. Josie Murphy was on target for the home side while Lina Smitate scored for Celtic

A Jackie Curran hat trick had the home side in control as they picked up their first win of the season against Castledockrell. Collette Curtin was also on target as Taghmon ran out comfortable winners

All Blacks       2          Rosslare Rangers         3
Rangers travelled to All Blacks and picked up the points as they came out on top by the odd goal in five. The home side relied on experience for their goals as Tina Colloton and Nicola Stenning were both on target with Shannon O Brien, Bobby Doyle and Sinead Walsh were on target for the visitors

Womens Division Two B
Moyne Rangers           8          Crossabeg        0
New club Crossabeg are still waiting for their first point and found a rapidly improving Moyne too strong on the day. Ciara Tobin scored four for the home side to add to goals from Kerry Morrisey, Aine Kirwan, Gillian Foley and Laura Foley

Rosslare Strand           4          Camolin Celtic            2
Strand made it two wins from two games as they proved too strong for Camolin Celtic despite the home side being reduced to ten players. Karen Koolhof scored one with Niamh White scoring a hat trick

Bree United    2          Cloughbawn    3
Cloughbawn moved to the top of the division when travelling to Bree and winning three two. Tracy Martin, Shauna Murphy and Joanne Kennedy were on target for the winners while Laura Sinnott scored twice for Bree
