Under Ten Premier Division
Curracloe increased their lead at the top of the
premier division to four points as they overcame Bunclody 3-0 while one of
their main challengers, Kilmore United, was beaten 6-1 away to Courtown Hibs.
Caitlin Rossiter and Emma Flynn Doyle (2) were on target as Curracloe recorded
their seventh win of the season and now look hot favourites to lift the premier
title. Kilmore travelled to Courtown with a very young team and found the home
side in unstoppable form with Holly Tobin scoring five for the home side while
Sasha Green also got on the scoresheet while Melissa Smith scored for Kilmore
Under Ten East
Taghmon travelled to Rosslare Rangers and won 5-2
ensuring they finished runners up in the group and will be playing off for the
division one title. Bobbi Culleton scored both goals for Rangers while Cora
Banville scored all five for the visitors
Under Ten South West
Cloughbawn travelled to Adamstown on Thursday
evening and came away 3-0 winners which moves them into second place for the
moment. Elizabeth Dempsey scored two with Mary Kaylan also on target. Two of
the title contenders met on Saturday and after a very close fough match,
Seaview United and St Leonards picked up a point each in a scoreless draw.
Under Twelve Division Two A
Shelburne travelled to North End on Saturday and did
their battle against relegation the world of good as they came away 2-1
winners. Latisha Cullen was on target for the home side but goals from Maebh
Whitty and Ella Lyng gave the Ballywilliam girls all three points
Under Twelve Division Two B
Tombrack moved third in the table and kept their
promotion hopes alive when they travelled to Killenagh on Saturday and won 3-0.
Goals from Shauna McGovern, Mia Kelly and Leanne Kenny saw them record their
third win of the season and stay just in touch with the top two
Under Twelve Division Three
All Blacks remain top of the table after they
entertained St Leonards on Friday evening and took all three points in a 4-0
victory. Goals from Sarah Cleary (2), Sarah Hendrick and Seren Ward gave them
the win that moves them five points clear at the top of the table. Shelburne
second string travelled to St Josephs seconds on Saturday and they took a point
each in a 1-1 draw. Gemma Martin scored for Shelburne with Edel Keogh on target
for the home side
Under Fourteen Cup Semi Finals
Kilmore United and Gorey Rangers are through to the
under fourteen cup final after both came through their semi finals on Saturday
morning. Kilmore and Cloughbawn are tied at the top of the premier division at
present but Kilmore took control of this semi final and ran out surprisingly
comfortable 4-0 winners. Ann Marie Bennett (2), Rachel Bennett and Kira Bates
Crosbie were all on target against a Cloughbawn side who failed to take their
chances on the day. Gorey Rangers and Bunclody played out a seven goal thriller
before Rangers advanced to their first ever final 4-3 despite having their
goalkeeper sent off after just fifteen minutes for a professional foul. In a
match filled with goalmouth action goals from Amy Wilson (3) and Niamh Territt
saw Rangers through with Britney Conroy (2) and Aoibhin Myers on target for
Bunclody.
Under Fourteen Division Two A
North End clinched the divisional title after
overcoming All Blacks 5-2 on Saturday in Belvedere despite going behind early
in the game to an Emily Coakley goal. However goals from Chelsey Pitman (4) and
Rachel Dempsey saw the home side take control before Emily scored her second
goal for All Blacks late in game. League Training Centre director Barry Dempsey
was on hand to present the trophy to the winning captain while All Blacks can
take consolation in the fact they finished runners up in the division
Under Sixteen Division Two
Wexford Celtic made the long journey to Arklow Town
and moved joint third in the table as they came away 4-1 winners against an
improving home side with Chloe Hempenstall on target for the home side
Under Eighteen Cup Semi Final
Seaview booked their place in the under eighteen cup
final when they proved far too strong for St Josephs and advanced as
comfortable 7-0 winners. Goals from Eimear Mullan, Danni Odlum, Trina McMahon,
Ciara Nolan, Fiona Rowe and Mairead O Shea (2) saw Seaview through to the final
Womens Premier Division
Coolgreaney Celtic 0 North End United 1
Only one game managed to survive the weather and saw
North End move joint second in the league after this 1-0 win over a Coolgreaney
side who will now need a win plus a bit of luck to avoid relegation. Sara Byrne
scored the only goal of the game when her effort deceived the home keeper and
ended up in the net to give North
End a valuable three points
