Wexford and District Womens and Schoolgirls League 13-01-2013

Under Ten Cup
Holders Kilmore United progressed to the second round of this seasons cup with a three nil win away to Wexford Celtic while Adamstown were too strong for All Blacks as they progressed six two. Isabell Herbert scored five with Maebh Wickham adding one while Shannon Doyle and Sarah Cleary scored for All Blacks. St Josephs travelled to Cloughbawn and came away two one winners in a very tight and entertaining cup game with Caitlin Blackburn on target for the home side. Taghmon came away from Corach Ramblers with a single goal victory thanks to a goal from Laura Banville while in the other scheduled cup game, Bridge Rovers were unable to put together a team to travel to Shelburne

Under Ten Premier Division
Curracloe United remain a point clear at the top of the premier division after they overcame a very determined effort from Moyne Rangers and came out two one winners. Grace Hearne scored both goals for Curracloe while Shanise o Reilly was on target for Moyne Rangers. Campile sit just a point behind the leaders after making the long journey to Ballindaggin and winning two one. Aoife O Leary was on target for the home side but two Amy Ennis goals gave Campile a very important three points

Under Ten Division Two B
Rosslare Rangers and Enniscorthy Town both sit top of the table after both recorded wins at home to New Ross Town and away to Tombrack United respectively. Zoe Butler scored the only goal of the game as Rangers overcame Town in a very close game while four goals from Amy Shannon set Enniscorthy on their way to a five two victory in Tombrack. Cassie O Rourke scored the other goal while Tara Kenny and Rachel Kavanagh were on target for the home side

Under Fourteen Cup First Round
Moyne Rangers progessed to the second round of the cup with a four one win away to Seaview as Aideen Byrne scored a hat trick with Anais Curran also finding the net while Libby Sutton was on target for the home side. North End and Bunclody played out an eleven goal thriller before Bunclody eventually progressed six five. Jemma Dooley, Chloe Keelin and Natasha Rossiter Byrne and two from Rebecca Ennis were all on target for the Wexford town side while Kate Sheehan scored five for Bunclody with Britney Conroy also on target. All Blacks proved much too strong for Rosslare Rangers and won seven one with Caoimhe Mckeon on target for Rangers while Emily Coakley scored five for the home side to add to goals from Abbie Jones and Rebecca Foley. Fastnet Rovers travelled to Bridge Rovers and came away two one winners thanks to goals from Rachel Bennett and Clodagh Redmond while Sinead Ronan John scored for the home side.

Under Fourteen Premier Division
Kilmore moved joint top of the division when overcoming Bree United with four goals to spare. Cora Miller scored a hat trick while Rebecca Furlong also found the net to keep the home side well in contention for the league title. In the relegation battle, Cloughbawn overcame Killenagh Wanderers three nil thanks to goals from Tara Doyle, Hannah Keating and Niamh Kehoe

Under Fourteen Division One
Allindaggin remain well in contention for honours in this division when proving too strong for St Josephs as Aoife Devereux scored all four in their four nil victory over a young Kilmuckridge side

Under Fourteen Division Two B
Wexford Celtic moved second in the division when travelling to a young Tombrack side and coming away six nil winners thanks to two goals each from Ciara Rochford, Ciara Bridges and Orla Neiland. In the other scheduled game, Enniscorthy Town were unable to field a team to travel to New Ross town

Under Eighteen League
Cloughbawn moved clear at the top of the league when overcoming Ferns United in a closely fought encounter on Saturday and are now four points clear of Seaview United. Kate Cullen and Gina Foley were on target for Cloughbawn while Hayley Nolan converted a penalty for Ferns. Roisin O Connor scored a hat trick as Killenagh made the long journey to St Leonards and won three nil. North End continued their recent run of good form when overcoming second placed Seaview five nil thanks to two goals each from Fiona Bennett and Chloe Bates and one from Clodagh Downes.

Coolgreaney comfortably made their way past Glen Celtic to take their spot in the second round. Deirdre Healy, Jackie Kinch, Sarah Merrigan, Karen O Toole, Meabh Hughes and Anne Higgins were all on target for the premier side

Benfica            2          North End United       0
In one of the top games of the day, Benfica overcame division one league leaders North End United two nil. In a thrilling end to end game, goals from Keeley Claydon and Becky Conroy saw the Waterford side through to the second round

Killenagh Wan            4          Curracloe United        2
In an all division one tie, Killenagh overcame Curracloe thanks to goals from Laura Stafford, Roisin O Connor and two from Isobelle Naughter while Geraldine Doolan and Clara Donnelly were on target for the visitors

Enniscorthy Town       1          St Josephs       3
St Josephs overcame an understrength Enniscorthy Town side to go through to the last sixteen. Bridget McDonald scored for Town while Pamela Walsh scored twice for the Saints with Georgia Warren also finding the net

Courtown Hibs           3          Moyne Rangers           0
Courtown overcame Moyne Rangers to progress to the second round thanks to goals from Gillian Synnott. Lauren Ramsey and Aoife Gleeson

Tramore FC     6          Cloughbawn FC          2
In the top cup game of the day, Tramore comfortably progressed to the second round when overcoming fellow Premier side Cloughbawn. Gena Foley and Angie Westnott were on target for the visitors but two goals each from Tara Power and Niamh Walsh and one each from Vanessa Ogbonna and Leanne Clancy saw the home side through

Ferns United   8          Wexford Celtic           0
Holders Ferns United had no problems overcoming Wexford Celtic to take their place in the second round of the cup. Liz Everedd scored five with Hayley Nolan, Caroline Murphy and Georgina Moore all adding a goal each.

Kilmore United           4          Forth Celtic     0
A late first half goal from Lisa Goff set Kilmore on the way in this cup tie against Forth and an early second half hat trick from Katrina Parrock wrapped up the match and put the division one side through to the last sixteen

New Ross Town         2          Taghmon United         0
Taghmon made New Ross Town fight all the way before the home side eventually took their place in the second round thanks to goals from Kellie Keating and Josie Murphy

Rosslare Strand           0          Seaview United          5
Seaview progressed to the last sixteen after eventually breaking down the stubborn resistance of the home side. Brid Kehoe scored two to add to goals from Kellie Mullan, Maebh Kehoe and Leanne Foley to see the Premier side through.

All Blacks       3          Castledockrell United 2
These two sides are unbeaten in their respective divisions and showed that they are in form as they produced an excellent game of cup football. Roisin Furlong scored twice for the home side with Aoife Traynor also finding the net while Caitriona McCabe scored both goals for the visitors

This all division two B clash saw Bree eventually progress to the second round thanks to a goal in each half. Petrina Tyrell opened the scoring before a second half goal from Niamh Sinnott ensured Brees place in the last sixteen

Cloughbawn B            2          Shilelagh United         3
An injury time goal from Anna Nolan saw Shilelagh eventually overcome a very determined effort from the home side. After a scoreless first half, Megan Doyle and Elaine Kennedy were on target for the Wicklow side while Rose Kehoe and Joanne Kennedy were on target for Cloughbawn before Nolan scored her late winner

Adamstown continued their recent run of good form as they accounted for Corach Ramblers in the cup to go through to the second round. Chantelle Martin scored a hat trick while Cora Flood also found the net

Camolin Celtic            2          Cushinstown AFC      0
First half goals from Ashling Fitzpatrick and Megan Murray saw Camolin Celtic overcome fellow Division Two side Cushinstown to take their place in the last sixteen of the MMI.ie Wexford Cup
