Wexford and District Womens and Schoolgirls League 28-10-2012

Under Ten Premier Division
This division promises to be very closely contested with all five teams capable of launching a title challenge. Saturday saw neither game produce a goal despite loads on end to end goalmouth action in both games with Kilmore United and Curracloe United scoreless and Ballindaggin and Moyne Ranagers producing a similar scoreline

Under Ten Division Two A
Shelburne and St Leonards lead the way in this division as both picked up three points on Saturday. Kate Murphy scored all five for Shelburne as they overcame Killenagh five one while Eabha Cullen scored the only goal of the game as St Leonards beat Taghmon. St Josephs proved much too strong for a young Bridge Rovers side as they ran out nine one winners with Aoibhe Manley scoring a consolation for Rovers

Under Ten Division Two B
Enniscorthy Town edged clear at the top of this division as they came away from New Ross Town with a point after a three all draw. Amy Shannon scored two for Town with Cassie O Rourke also finding the net while Ciara Lanaton scored twice for town with Ellie adding one. Adamstown were big winners over Cloughbawn with Maebh Wickham scoring five and Isabelle Morgan Herbert adding a hat trick. Rosslare Rangers made the long journey to Tombrack a worthwhile one as they won four two thanks to two goals each from sisters Aoife and Ciara Rees while Tara Kenny and Abby Walsh were on target for Tombrack

Under Fourteen Premier Division
Bree lead the way with three wins from three games as they overcame Kilmore by two goals to one. Rebecca Furlong scored for Kilmore but goals from Aoife Cloke Rochford and Aideen Byrne saw Bree move into a very strong position at the head of the table. Killenagh picked up their first win of the season when overcoming Cloughbawn four two thanks to a Cailin Fitzpatrick hat trick and a Megan Cahill goal while Hannah Keating and Niamh Higgins on target for Cloughbawn

Under Fourteen Division One
Ballindaggin lead the way in division one after this three nil win over St Leonards with goals from Lauren Finn, Aoife Devereux and Clodagh O Leary. A Britney Conroy hat trick set Bunclody on the way to a six nil win with Kate Hendrick adding two and Kaithlin Murphy also scoring. Moyne Rangers came out on top of a seven goal thriller when winning four three in Seaview with Shauna Kane, Megan Dobbs, Gina Murphy and Abigail Gordon all on target for the Enniscorthy girls. Kayleigh Shannon scored twice for the home side with Jane Ryan also scoring.

Under Fourteen Division Two A
Campile are a point clear after beating North End five two with Grainne Ryan scoring all five for the home side while Kelly Lynch and Alannah Anglim were on target for the Wexford two side. Rathnure United proved too strong for Rosslare Rangers running out six one winners while Bridge Rovers and Gorey Celtic played out a one all draw

Under Fourteen Division Two B
Fastnet Rovers made it three wins from three as they overcame Enniscorthy Town by seven goals to two while New Ross Town travelled to Tombrack and came away seven nil winners. Ciara Rossiter and Katie Bergin were on target for Wexford Celtic but four goals from prolific goal scorer Emily Coakley gave All Blacks the three points

Under Eighteen League
Seaview United made it two wins from two games as they overcame North End United three nil to move to the top of the under eighteen league thanks to two Eimear Mullan goals and one from Fiona Rowe. Ferns travelled to St Leonards and opened their league campaign with a six one win

Womens Premier Division
Adamstown    0          Benfica            7
Benfica travelled to Newbawn and collected their first three points of the season as they ran out comfortable seven nil winners. Kerry Rochford, Becky Conroy and Nicola Foley all scored two goals each with Sharon Browne also on target

Womens Division One A
Kilmore United           4          Curracloe United        4
These two sides played out a thrilling four all draw with the lead changing hands on several occassions before a last gasp equaliser earned Curracloe a point. Two goals from Katrina Parrock and one each from Jasmine Redmond and Lisa Goff made up the home side tally while Amy Banville scored a hat trick for Curracloe with a deflected own goal making up the total

Womens Division One B
Fastnet Rovers                        0          St Josephs       6
St Josephs travelled to Fastnet and came away with all three points after a comfortable six nil win. Becky Hayden, Aine Roche, Pamela Walsh, Aoife Kavanagh, Tracy McCormack and Georgia Warren were all on target for the Kilmuckridge side

Womens Division Two A
Tombrack United        0          Cloughbawn B            2
Cloughbawn travelled to Tombrack and came away with all three points thanks to goals from Tina Cullen and Joanne Kennedy to give them their second win of the season.

All Blacks       2          Taghmon United         1
All Blacks moved six points clear at the top of the division after this two one win over Taghmon giving them five wins from five games. Sarah Banville scored for the visitors with Roisin Furlong and Tina Colloton on target for the home side

Womens Division Two B
Crossabeg        0          Cushinstown               5
Cushinstown made history on Sunday when picking up their first win since joining the league when travelling to Crossabeg and winning five nil. Pamela Cummins scored a hat trick while Amy Gaffney scored twice

Wexford Youth Women play Saturday evening
Wexford Youths Women play their first home game under lights when they entertain Castlebar Celtic next Saturday evening at seven o clock in Ferrycarrig Park. This promises to be a great occasion for the womens team and will give supporters a great opportunity to come and support the girls. The home side will be content with their start to the season having picked up two wins and a draw in their opening four games and currently sit fourth in the table. Supporters of the women soccer who would usually be unable to attend due to being committed to their own clubs on a Sunday can take the chance to come see the game being played at the highest level in the country.
