Under Eighteen Cup Final
Ferns United   0          Shelburne        2
These two sides are the top two in the league and produced a cup final in Bunclody worthy of the name. Despite a heavy breeze, the game was very evenly contested with both sides creating chances and testing both keepers who were well up to the task and the game reached half time without any goals. The breakthrough came fifteen minutes into the second half when Gina Foley broke down the right wing and sent an unstoppable shot past Tamara Furlong in the Ferns goal. Ferns battled hard to get back into the game and Gemma Kehoe went close twice with Siobhan Grant Moorehead saving well as the game moved towards a conclusion. Shelburne wrapped up the cup in injury time when substitute Megan Whitty put Gina Foley in to score her second goal and Ferns did not get time to launch any serious threat before referee John Carton sounded the final whistle. The winners Jodi Keane picked up a well deserved player of the match award

Under Twelve Cup Final
Curracloe United        0          Shelburne        2
Shelburne got the ideal start in this eagerly anticipated under twelve final when a Niamh Kehoe sent a well struck free kick to the roof of the net after just two minutes. Curracloe found it difficult to settle into the game as Shelburne did not allow them any room and they struggled to trouble the Shelburne goal. Sarah Siggins did go close for Curracloe just before half time but Kate Hendrick saved well to keep the Ballywilliam girls in front. The second half saw Shelburne continue their stylish passing game and they put the game beyond the reach of Curracloe when a very impressive Hannah Keating scored and from then on there was no way back for Curracloe. Referee Loughlin Rafter brought the game to an end ten minutes later and Shelburne were presented with the cup after the match and their defender Kate Murphy collected the player of the match award

Under Fourteen Cup Final
Curracloe United        5          Kilmore United           0
Division One side Kilmore were always going to find life difficult against premier side Curracloe but they did make life much more difficult for the Seasiders than the scoreline suggests. Kilmore were well in the game in the opening exchanges and were unlucky not to go in front through Cora Miller but midway through the first half, Curracloe went in front through Rianna Cullen and doubled that lead through Dearbhla Doyle just before half time. Despite Kilmores best efforts, Curracloe took control in the second half and knocked in another three with Dearbhla Doyle scoring her second while Siobhan Doolan and Jessica Sinnott also finding the net. Curracloe always looked comfortable in this game but Kilmore are a very young side with a great future and will have gained a lot of experience from this game. Rianna Cullen collected the player of the match award which was presented to her by her sister Alysha who is part of the Wexford Youth Women National League squad

Under Ten Cup Final
Kilmore United           5          St Leonards     0
Premier champions Kilmore against a division three side might have looked a mismatch on paper but despite St Leonards going behind to an early Sophie Boxwell goal, they battled hard for the remainder of the game and put in a very creditable display. Both sides had some excellent players on display and it was probably the youthfulness of the Saints that showed against them as the game wore on. Prolific scorer Kira Bates Crosbie made it two nil just before half time and effectively ended any chance of St Leonards getting back into the game although they continued to show great character throughout the second half. Another goal each from Sophie Boxwell and Kira Bates Crosbie plus one from Amy McDonald wrapped up the double for Kilmore before referee Nikki Dunphy brought the game to an end. Both sides can be very proud of their performances in front of a very sizeable crowd. St Leonards defender Eimear Gabbett picked up a well deserved player of the match award at the end of a long day of finals. The league would like to thank Bunclody AFC for the use of their facilities which were in excellent condition and to thank all referees and linesmen, John Carton, Martin Armstrong, Nicky Harte, Shem Doyle, Loughlin Rafter, Nikki Dunphy and Emmanual Kavanagh for their help on the day
