Seaview United 2 Benfica 4
Champions Benfica opened the season with a hard fought win away to last seasons division one champions Seaview. Brid Kehoe put the home side in front but goals from Brianne O Connor, Linda Douglas and Becky Conroy had the Waterford side in control going in at half time. A Stephanie Foley goal early in the second half had Seaview back in the game and they piled on the pressure in search of an equaliser but an injury time own goal wrapped up the three points for the visitors
Killenagh Wan 1 St Cormacs 2
A very closely contested tie saw St Cormacs collect the three points as they return to the top division after an absence of five years. Theresa Redmond gave the home side a first half lead when she converted a penalty but second half goals from Amy Walsh and Bernie Carton gave the Boolavogue a winning start to the season
Curracloe United 3 Ferns United 0
Last years title runners up Curracloe had a comfortable victory over a depleted Ferns side who put up a brave battle but could not contain the firepower of the home side. Goals from Fiona Bennett, Alysha Cullen and Clara Donnelly saw the seasiders collect a comfortable three points
Tramore AFC 6 Adamstown 1
With Bunclody withdrawing from the league, Tramore were given the opportunity to take their place in the premier division and with this performance against Adamstown, they proved they are good enough for that place. Two goals each from Vanessa Ogbonna and Orla Hickey as well as one each from Tara Power and Rachel Wall ensured that the home side began their career in the top division with a win
Womens Division One A
Enniscorthy Town 4 Shelbourne 3
Shelbourne raced into an early three nil lead in this match between two sides who would be considered possible favourites in this division. Charlotte O Keefe, Jodi Keane and Gina Foley were all on target for the Ballywilliam girls but a Diane Leniston goal and a hat trick from Lorna Murphy saw Town come back to win four three
Kilmore United 3 Forth Celtic 1
Kilmore are in rebuilding mode and their young squad got off to a winning start when overcoming newly promoted Forth Celtic. The home side led three nil through goals from Katrina Parrock, Rachel Crosbie and a long range effort from Lisa Goff before Forth pulled one back in the second half through Eleanor Kehoe
St Josephs 1 Coolgreaney Celtic 2
Coolgreaney opened their campaign with a hard earned two one victory away to St Josephs with all the goals coming in the first half. Eimear Prendergast scored for the home side but two goals from Anne Higgins gave Celtic the three points
Womens Division One B
Tombrack United 4 Arklow United 1
Jessica McDonald put Arklow ahead early in the first half but Tombrack dominated the remainder of the game and two goals from Eimear Whelan and one each from Ciara Ryan and Sharon Walsh gave them victory
Shilelagh United 4 Wexford Celtic 4
A Jenna Murphy hat trick and a goal from Natasha Walsh had Celtic well in control in this match as they led four one. However Shilelagh snatched a point with two goals from Fiona Byrne and one each from Elaine Murphy and Therese O Connor
Courtown Hibs 4 Corach Ramblers 0
Hibs got off to a flying start in the league when proving too strong for Corach Ramblers, running out four nil winners thanks to goals from Gina Kavanagh, Lauren Ramsey, Donna O Brien and Lorraine Kavanagh

New Ross Town 4 Castledockrell United 0
Last years Division Two A champions New Ross Town opened their campaign with a four nil win over Castledockrell United
Fastnet Rovers 3 Rosslare Rangers 1
Rovers proved too strong for Rangers as they collected three points in this division two tie
Taghmon United 1 New Ross Celtic 3
Jackie Curran was on target for the home side but reformed New Ross Celtic collected the three points thanks to goals from Lina Smitate, Kelly Keating and Ruth Jones
Womens Division Two B
Moyne Rangers 1 Camolin Celtic 0
New club Camolin made their debut in the league but unfortunately were on the wrong end of a one nil scoreline away to Moyne Rangers
Campile United 1 Cloughbawn 1
These two clubs played out an exciting one all draw and taking a point each as Tracey Martin scored for Cloughbawn with Melissa Doyle equalising for Campile United
Rosslare Strand 5 Crossabeg 0
Crossabeg made their debut in the league with a tough away match in Rosslare Strand and the home team ran out comfortable five nil winners
Leinster Under Twelve Blitz
Five teams from the league competed in the Leinster Under Twelve finals in the Oscar Traynor Complex on Saturday and after a long day of very intense games, Kilmore United have qualified for the National finals in the AUL next Sunday.Wins over Bailieborough, Trim Celtic and Bridge Rovers as well as a draw with Shelbourne of Dublin saw Kilmore qualify as runners up in their group with Becky Furlong and Cora Miller both excelling. Ballindaggin and Shelbourne also both did very well, finishing level on points in their group with Ballindaggin being graded higher as they had won the game between them one nil. However there was still confusion as to whether Ballindaggin had did enough to quailfy for the National finals and probably wont be known til midweek. Forth Celtic and Bridge Rovers also both competed and although they were not in contention for a place in the National finals, both sides put in creditable performances and will have learned from the experience.
