Two games survive the weather

Women’s Division Two B

The home side returned to the top of the table after they eventually broke down a Shelburne side who are enjoying a good run of form in recent games and brought the best of the Bunclody girls who had to work very hard for the three points. Britney Conroy put the home side ahead near the end of the first half but Shauna Cowman levelled for Shelburne almost on the hour before Britney popped up to score the winner with fifteen minutes to go

(Bridge Rovers won 5-4 on penalties)

These two sides played out a thrilling cup tie before Bridge Rovers eventually booked their place in the semi final after a penalty shoot out. Finnola Monahan, Kelley Scallan and Sinead Ronan were all on target for Rovers while Danielle O Connor, Michelle Darcy and Lorraine Fortune all scored for St Cormacs to bring the game to extra time. No further goals saw the game go to penalties where the home side held their nerve to progress 5-4.
