Seaview moved five
points clear at the top of the table and assured themselves of at least runners
up spot after this 3-1 win away to Adamstown. One of the five games that went
ahead despite the difficult weather conditions but it was Seaview who were the
top team on the day with goals from Catherine Doyle, Brid Kehoe and Brid Doyle
while Edwina Whelan was on target for Adamstown

Cloughbawn AFC 3
Cloughbawn
recorded their eight win of the season when they travelled to St Josephs and
won 3-1 and proved they are worthy divisional champions, having clinched the
title last week when Camolin beat St Leonards. Aine Roche was on target for the
home side while Gina Foley and Jessica Martin with two made up the visitors

Health and Fitness Cup Quarter Finals
Courtown Hibs 3
Wexford Bohs 0
A strong first
half performance from Hibs saw them book their place in the semi finals of the
cup when they beat a spirited Wexford Bohs sid 3-0. Two goals from Lauren
Ramsey and one from Marian Cardiff saw the home side advance in possibly the
best playing conditions of the day due to the late kick off

on penalties)
These two sides
had to go all the way to penalties before Seaview eventually booked their place
in the last four. In a very closely contested encounter, Clodagh Waters was on
target for Seaview while Sinead Walsh scored for Rangers and with no further
goals in extra time, the game went to penalties where the home side held their
nerve to advance

Three Cup Quarter Final
Cushinstown AFC 0
Fastnet Rovers 6
This game was
switched to Fastnet as Cushinstown’s pitch was unplayable and it was Rovers who
controlled the game and went through to the semi finals. Annie Breen scored
twice with Lisa Marie Doyle, Joanne Jordan, Triona Kelly and Geraldine Monaghan
all finding the net in this 6-0 win.

Cork League 7 Wexford
League 2
The scoreline
might read 7-2 but the game was much closer than this as the Wexford side put
up a spirited battle before eventually bowing out of the competition to a very
clinical and well organised Cork side. Wexford drew first blood when a well
taken corner from Britney Conroy caused chaos in the area before Linda Bradley
tapped the ball across the line into the net. The lead was shortlived as Cork
bounced back and were quickly back on level terms and scored twice more before
the break to lead 3-1 at half time. The second half saw the Wexford side have
to cope with windy conditions as well as the slick passing of the Cork side and
four more goals from the home side saw them comfortably book their place in the
semi-finals before Natasha Byrne scored a late consolation for the Wexford
side.
Despite the heavy
defeat, Wexford did enjoy periods of the game where they controlled possession
but the home side were very clinical in front of goal but manager Alan Browne
and his management team can be proud of the efforts from their squad and can
look forward to the coming years with confidence. Well done to all involved.
