Results for weekend 30-10-2016

                          Wexford and District Women’s and Schoolgirls League 30-10-2016

Under Ten South Division
St Leonards     3          Shelburne FC       3
These two young sides played out a thrilling 3-3 draw to grab a point each and move joint top of the table with Seaview. Katie Ryan with two and Evelyn McCormack were the goalscorers for St Leonards while Aoife Summers (2) and Keelin Byrne were on target for Shelburne

Under Twelve Premier Division
St Leonards     3          Kilmore United           1
St Leonards picked up their first three points of the season when overcoming Kilmore 3-1 in Ballycullane on Saturday morning. Ella Foley was on target for Kilmore but goals from Abbie Whitty, Melissa Smith and Katie Sinnott gave the home side victory

Under Twelve Division One
Moyne Rangers           2          All Blacks       12
All Blacks are looking very impressive in this division as they made it three wins from three games when overcoming a young Moyne Rangers side. Jade Browne and Kelsey Ryan were on target for the home side while Kiera Casey (2), Aoibheann Rankin (5), Cora Sinnott, Aoife Codd, Ciara Murphy, Sophie Wallace and Aoife White were all on target for the winners

The home side made it two wins from three games in in touch with the leaders after this 7-0 win at home to Gorey Rangers

Under Twelve Division Two A
Bunclody AFC            4          Corach Ramblers         0
Goals from Aoife Farell, Sarah Kenny, Katie Moynihan and Rebecca O Connor gave Bunclody a 4-0 win over Corach Ramblers and moved the home side three points clear at the top of division one

Bree United    2          Adamstown FC           5
Adamstown picked up their second win of the season when they travelled to Bree and came away 5-2 winners. Amy Doyle scored both goals for the home side while Karalina Jaglarz scored four for Adamstown with Sinead Moore also getting on the scoresheet

Under Twelve Division Two B
Taghmon United         11        Tombrack United       2
Ana Dargusin scored two goals for a young Tombrack side but they were unable to contain the firepower of the home side with Hannah Kehoe scoring an impressive seven while Caoimhe Breen scored a hat trick while Andrea O Keefe also found the net

Rosslare Strand           2          Wexford Youths         7
Wexford Youths came out on top in this clash Strand to give Youths their first win of the season. Rachel Meaney (3), Saoirse Kearney (2), Niamh Walsh and Zoe Kelly were all on target for Strand while Aisling Roche and Bonnie McMahon scored for Strand

St Josephs        2          New Ross Town          6
New Ross Town made it four wins from four games and moved clear at the top of the table as they overcame St Josephs 6-2. Two goals each from Emma Rossiter and Aoibh Thomas and one each from Ella Nolan and Leah Ryan gave Town all three points

Under Twelve Division Three
Rosslare Rangers        8          Bridge Rovers             1
Rangers made it four wins from four games when they won comfortably against a battling Bridge Rovers side. Kayla Ryan was on target for Rovers but goals from Tegan Fortune (3), Abigail Clarke (2), Grace Noonan, Bobby Culleton and Amelia Rees gave Rosslare their fourth win of the season and retain their one hundred per cent record

Ballindaggin 2nds       0          Campile United          6
Campile picked up their first win of the season when they proved too strong for Ballindaggin second string who were playing their first match of the season. Eva Fuhrman (4) and Sally Kehoe (2) scored the goals for the visitors

Cushinstown AFC      1          St Cormacs      3
St Cormacs moved up to joint second in the table after this win away to Cushinstown. Kyra Nolan was on target for the home side while Emerson Doran, Jessica Foran and Bronagh Kenny all scored for the Boolavogue girls

Under Twelve Division Four
Carnew FC      0          Forth Celtic Whites     1
Forth Celtic White made the long journey to Carnew a worthwhile one when they came away 1-0 winners and keep in touch with the top two

Fastnet Rovers            0          Wexford Youths B      2
This game was much closer than the scoreline suggested but it was Youths second team who eventually took the points with a goal in each half from Jenna Kirwan. This win gave Youths their fourth win in four games while Fastnet are showing improvement in every game

Shelburne FC              2          Bridge Rovers             0
The home side picked up their first three points of the season when overcoming Bridge Rovers young side 2-0 with Caitlin Gaffney and Milly Sutton scoring the goals

New Ross Town          1          Aughrim Rangers        4
Aine O Lone scored for New Ross Town second team in this game but goals from Laci Shannon, Chloe Sheehy, Ciara Connolly and Abigail Whitney gave Aughrim their fourth win of the season leaving them joint top of the table

FAI Umbro Under Sixteen Cup Second Round
Bunclody AFC            3          Cloughbawn AFC       4          (aet)
A last minute goal in extra time saw Cloughbawn eventually overcome Bunclody in the FAI Under Sixteen Cup. The home side went 2-0 ahead but Cloughbawn came back to lead 3-2 before Bunclody levelled to bring the game to extra time and seemed to be heading to penalties until the visitors late winner. Rachel Murphy, Aoife Darcy and Geri Rose O Connor were all on target for Bunclody while Emma Clarke (3) and Niamh Tormey scored for Cloughbawn in a game that showcased the high level of girls soccer in Wexford at present

Under Sixteen Premier One
Shelburne FC              2          St Leonards     8
St Leonards lead the way in Division One after they comfortably overcame Shelburne 8-2 in Ballywilliam. Ella Lyng and Niamh O Shea scored for the home side but goals from Eabha Cullen (2), Cora Hackett (2), Fiona Ryan (2), Eimear Gabbett and Aoife Cullen gave the visitors all three points

Under Sixteen Division Two A
Gorey Rangers            3          Forth Celtic     5
Forth Celtic came out on top in this eight goal thriller to record their first win of the season away to Gorey Rangers late Saturday afternoon. Olive Curtis, Caoimhe Byrne and Rosie McGuckian were all on target for Rangers while Lauren McLoughlin (2), Grace Roche (2) and Louiza Donnelly all scored for Forth

New Ross Town          7          Corach Ramblers         0
Town moved to the top of the table when they made it two wins from two games in this 7-0 win over Corach Ramblers. A Jenny Canning hat trick, two goals from Amy Lawlor and a goal each from Jenny O Keefe and Eadaoin Kent gave the home side all three points

Under Sixteen Division Two B
Wexford Celtic           8          Arklow Town              2
Goals from Ruth Hendrick (2), Rachel Zsurs, Aliat Kotun (2) and Aishling O Sullivan (3) gave Wexford Celtic an 8-2 win over Arklow Town and give them their first win of the season

Camolin Celtic            1          St Josephs        0
The home side continued their good start to the season when a late goal from Grace O Halloran gave them all three points and moved Camolin top of the table. This was a close game between two very good sides and looked to be heading for a scoreless draw until Grace struck to give Celtic victory

Moyne Rangers           2          Carnew FC      5
Carnew recorded their first win of the season when they travelled to Moyne and overcame the home side 5-2. Shauna Devaney and Megan O Connor scored for Rangers but goals from Kaley Kavanagh (2), Maude Robinson Greene (2) and Bree Greene gave the Wicklow side their historic first victory

Women’s Premier Division
Seaview United          2          Adamstown FC           2
Adamstown got off to a flying start and were 2-0 up midway through the first half courtesy of two Marcella Cullen goals. Seaview were much better in the second half and goals from Meabh Kehoe and Eimear Mullan had them level but some good defending from Adamstown saw them leave Duncannon with a well earned point

Women’s Division One
Kilmore United           1          North End United       4
North End have moved clear at the top of the division after they travelled to Kilmore and came away with all three points courtesy of a 4-1 win. Cora Miller scored for the home side but a Martina Pender hat trick and a goal from Kim Walker gave North End their third win in a row

All Blacks       0          Corach Ramblers         3
Corach picked up their first win of the season in the league when they travelled to leaders All Blacks and came away 3-0 winners. Sara Byrne scored twice with Nellie Walsh also finding the net in a good overall team performance

Bree United    8          Piltown FC      0
The home side picked up their first win of the season when they totally overran Piltown, knocking in eight without reply and moving into a group of four teams who are on three points in what promises to be a very competitive division. Lauren Sinnott, Louise Butler, Coley Furlong and Justine Spratt Murphy all scored one each while Shonagh Spratt Murphy and Jenny Duggan added two apiece

Women’s Division Two A
St Leonards     2          Cloughbawn AFC       4
Cloughbawn made it three wins from three and sit top of the table after this hard fought 4-2 win away to Ballycullane. Aoife Drennan and Fiona Ryan were on target for the young home side while Hannah Keating, Gina Foley and Tina Cullen (2) scored the vital goals for the visitors in an ultra competitive encounter

New Ross Town          1          St Josephs        4
St Josephs remain in contention for the title when they travelled to New Ross Town and came away with the three points courtesy of a 4-1 win. Sinead Ryan scored a penalty for Town but two goals from Tracey McCormack and one each from Emer O Leary and Michelle Gahan gave St Josephs victory

Women’s Division Two B
Courtown Hibs            7          Wexford Bohs             0
The home side made it two wins from two games when they overcame a spirited Wexford Bohs with seven goals to spare. Two goals each from Therese Flynn and Aoife Gleeson plus goals from Donna O Brien, Lauren Ramsey and Sonia Redmond gave Hibs all three points

Seaview United “B”   3          Shelburne AFC           1
Seaview second team have found some form in recent weeks and recorded their second win of the league when overcoming Shelburne 3-1. Emer Murphy scored for the visitors but two goals from Eimear Whelan and one from Ali Staats gave the home side victory

Bunclody AFC            2          Rosslare Rangers        2
These two sides remain unbeaten after this 2-2 draw and sit first and second in the table. Rangers took the lead through Laura Doyle but Bunclody went ahead thanks to goals from Rebecca Murphy and Britney Conroy and looked to have done enough until Lauren Barry scored with two minutes to go to earn the visitors a point

Women’s Division Three
Bridge Rovers             3          Ajax Athletic              1
The home side moved up the table after they eventually overcame a dogged Ajax side to earn three points. Sophie Savage was on target for the Enniscorthy girls but two goals from Sinead Ronan and one from Deirdre Byrne gave Rovers the win

Fastnet Rovers            2          St Cormacs      0
Rovers lost their opening two games of the season but got back to winning ways when they overcame St Cormacs 2-0 in what is shaping up to be a very competitive division. Lisa Marie Doyle scored both goals for Rovers to earn them the three points

Best of Luck to Wexford Youths Women AFC
Everyone involved in Wexford women’s and schoolgirls soccer would like to wish Wexford Youths Women the best of luck in next Sunday’s FAI Women’s Cup Final against Shelbourne AFC. Match kicks off in the Aviva Stadium at 12-05 and several of our women’s teams have taken the opportunity to have the Sunday off to go support the girls.

Under Eighteen Trials

Trials will shortly be taking place for the Wexford League representative squad which will participate in the FAI Inter League Under Eighteen tournament. Details of these trials will be released in the coming days so keep an eye on www.wexfordwomenssoccer.com and the Wexford Women’s League Facebook page for further details


FAI Under Twelve National Cup

Courtown Hibs and Seaview United represented the South East Region in the FAI Under Twelve National blitz in the AUL on Saturday and although neither side came home with silverware both sides represented the league with pride. Both sides were involved in closely contested groups but failed to progress to the final stages and both eventually lost their play off games on penalties
