Pitch Development Under Twelve Cup First Round
Only one
game survived in the first round of the Noel Kehoe Pitch Development Cup games
on Saturday when All Blacks overcame New Ross Town second team to progress to
the last sixteen. Ellie Foley was on target for Town but a Sarah Hendrick hat
trick and a goal from Seren Ward saw the Mayglass side progress 4-1.
Under Ten
Cup First Round
The two
outstanding first round games in the Under Ten cup went ahead on Saturday
morning with Taghmon making the long journey and overcoming a young St Cormacs
side 8-0. Chloe Doyle and Cora Banville scored a hat trick each with Megan Dee
adding two. All Blacks had to work much harder to overcome New Ross Town in
their cup tie but they eventually progressed 1-0 thanks to a goal from Madison
Doyle. All Blacks will now travel to Killenagh in the second round while
Taghmon will head to Bunclody

South West
Cloughbawn
continued their recent run of good form when overcoming Corach Ramblers 4-1 in
a refixed league tie. Sarah Coughlan was on target for Ramblers but two goals
from Chloe O Neill and one each from Mary Kaylan and Abbi Murray gave
Cloughbawn all three points
Ger Dunne
Under Sixteen Cup First Round
Cloughbawn
progressed to the second round of the Ger Dunne Under Sixteen Cup when they
overcame All Blacks 2-0 in their refixed cup tie. In a very close encounter,
the home side advanced thanks to goals from Hannah Keating and Laura Butler.

Ross Town 1
Premier side
Cloughbawn, overcame a depleted New Ross Town 6-1 to set up a second round
meeting with cup holders Ferns United next Sunday. Sinead Ryan was on target
for the visitors but a hat trick from Mary Tyrell and goals from Siobhan Grant
Moorehead, Megan Whitty and Tara Kennedy saw the home side into the last
sixteen
Taghmon
United 0 Benfica 7
Premier side
Benfica proved too strong for division two side Taghmon and comfortably made
their way through to a second round meeting with North End United. Becky Conroy
(3), Sharon Brown (2), Cathy Sheridan and Lisa Dower were all on target for the
Waterford side who were always in control

Premier side
Coolgreaney had to work hard to eventually overcome the challenge of division
two side Camolin Celtic. The visitors enjoyed the better possession but Camolin
defended well until Jackie Kinch eventually scored the all important winner.

Adamstown
progressed to the quarter final when travelling to Cushinstown and overcoming
the division two B side 6-0. Two goals each from Edwina and Ashling Colfer as
well as a goal each from Leeann Murphy and Nikki Dunphy saw the premier side
comfortably through

Most
thrilling cup tie of the day saw premier side Seaview eventually kill off the
challenge of division one side Kilmore United. The visitors were two up at half
time thanks to goals from Kellie Mullan and Fiona Rowe but a spirited come back
saw Kilmore get back on level terms with goals from Jasmine Redmond and Lisa
Goff but another goal from Fiona Rowe with fifteen minutes to go put Seaview
into last eight

St Josephs
moved second in the division after overcoming bottom team Courtown Hibs 8-2 and
the home side will now need a miracle to avoid the drop back to division two
for next season. Irene Grant and Donna O Brien were on target for Hibs but two
goals from Becky Hayden and one each from Bridget McDonald, Aoife Kavanagh,
Emer O Leary, Laura Warren, Georgia Warren and Lisa Johnston saw the visitors
take all three points and stay in the promotion race

Celtic 1
The home
side have practically guaranteed their place in this division after overcoming
Forth Celtic 3-1. Goals from Hayley Browne, Jenny Whelan and Nicole Gethings
saw the home side pick up their fourth win of the season. Chloe Fox scored a
late consolation goal for Celtic.

Rovers 0
Bree are now
only one win away from clinching the league title after this big win over
Fastnet Rovers. Two goals each from Niamh Sinnott and Lauren Sinnott and single
goals from Niamh Dunne and Nicola Rochford saw Bree take all three points
St Leonards 3 Crossabeg
AFC 0
The
Ballycullane side remain in contention for the title and promotion after this
win over an understrength Crossabeg side who did well to fulfil the fixture.
Claire Whelan, Jo Rossiter and Aoidin Kelly were all on target for St Leonards.

Inter League Under Eighteen Tournament
The Wexford Womens League are currently preparing a
squad to participate in the first FAI Under Eighteen Inter League Blitz which
will take place on Saturday March 22nd at a venue to be decided.
This is the first tournament for leagues at Under Eighteen level and as one of
the few leagues in the country to have a division for this age group, Wexford
will be hoping to put together a strong squad. Training is currently taking
place on Wednesdays and Saturdays and if you are interested and require further
