30 seconds with a long range effort but Benfica fought back to go 2-1 ahead and
then the home side regained the lead 3-2 before the Waterford side scored late
to get a draw. Aisling Whelan scored both of the home sides other goals while
Beserta Ajeti, Jenny Simpson and an own goal saw Benfica get a point
Cloughbawn 4 Tramore

conceded a late penalty to lose 4-5 although they hit the crossbar in injury
time which could have earned them a point. Nicola Davitt (2) Megan Whitty and
Siobhan Grant were on target for home side while Vanessa Ogbonna (2), Rosie
Flynn, Jane Power and Orla Hickey all scored for Tramore

squad of players will be partaking in top level training, they will remain with
their clubs and the aim of this academy is to provide high quality coaching to
players who are interested. Any player interested should contact Barry Dempsey
on 086 8092020 or Head Coach Ronan Collins on 085 1424741
Proceedure for Blanket Call Offs
As we head into the winter, weather is of course going to become a major
factor on whether games go ahead or not. The procedure will be the league
executive will make a decision on whether all games will be called off and will
notify all clubs by text if games are called off. If your club does not receive
a text informing you that the game is off, the game will be go ahead as fixed.
Clubs are still expected to check their pitches early to see if playable and
only contact your relevant liason if pitch is deemed unplayable and if at all
possible, check the pitch in plenty of time to prevent away team and referee
from travelling.
