Etchingham Cup Final
All Blacks 2 Tombrack United 1
A goal nine minutes from time saw All Blacks complete their league and cup double after they eventually broke down a stubborn resistance from a determined Tombrack side. Denise Bolger put Tombrack in front after just four minutes but five minutes later Roisin Furlong had the sides level. Tombrack battled to regain their advantage and enjoyed some of the better chances in the first half but it was All Blacks who were on top in the second half and after a period of sustained pressure, Aoife Traynor scrambled home a corner to give her side the double. League chairman Daire Doyle presented the cup to victorious captain Tina Colloton with Tombrack captain Mary Carroll collecting player of the match
MMI.ie Wexford Womens Cup Final
Ferns United 2 Tramore FC 1
League champions Ferns completed the double when overcoming rivals Tramore in a fast paced entertaining MMI.ie cup final in St Josephs on Sunday. The game started evenly with both sides creating chances but it was Ferns who got the breakthrough when Liz Everedd found the net after twenty seven minutes and it was a lead they held until half time. Tramore were battling to get back on level terms but found the Ferns defence difficult to break down and midway through the half, player of the match Leona Breen made it two nil to Ferns and the game looked over. Tramore never gave up and with seven minutes to go Vanessa Ogbonna did manage to pull one back but Ferns used all their experience to finish out the game without being unduly troubled and collect the cup the fourth time in six years
