Curracloe United        0          Shelburne        0
This scoreless draw between the top two sides in the under twelve league resulted in both been deadlocked at the top of the premier division and will meet again on Tuesday in a play off to decide the league winner. This game last Monday in Curracloe saw both sides cancel each other out and chances were minimal as defences dominated and both sides completed their league campaign unbeaten and a great game is promised on Tuesday in Curracloe at 7pm.

Leinster Womens Intermediate Cup Final
Monaghan United       1          Tramore FC     5
Tramore lifted the Leinster Intermediate Cup in Peamount last Monday when a second half blitz destroyed a determined Monaghan side who had led one nil and looked comfortable until Tramore got going. Two goals from Orla Hickey as well as one each from Tara Power, Niamh Walsh and a twenty five yard stunner from Rachel Corcoran saw the Wexford League premier champions run out comfortable five one winners.

Ger Dunne Under Sixteen Cup Final
Curracloe United        2          Shelburne        2          AET
(Curracloe won four two on penalties)
The last of the schoolgirl cup finals took place last Wednesday in Ajax Athletics ground in Enniscorthy and saw two very good sides go all the way to penalties to decide a winner. Shelburne enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges and led one nil at half time through a well taken Mary Tyrell goal and they doubled that advantage in the second half when Kate Cullen scored. It was at this point that Curracloe began to come into the game and with fifteen minutes remaining, they pulled one back through Siobhan Doolan and ten minutes later Rianna Cullen scored to bring the sides level. No further goals in extra time saw the game go to penalties where Curracloe held their nerve to win four two and lift the Ger Dunne cup for the third year in a row. Tom “Flash” Dunne was on hand to present the winning side with their trophy as well as the player of the match award to Curracloes Jessie Harding

Under Fourteen Division One
St Leonards     2          Seaview United          0
These two sides are currently battling relegation in this division but St Leonards gave themselves a fighting chance of avoiding the drop after this two nil win. Aine McGar and Kerri Wall were on target for the home side

Under Fourteen Premier Division Play Off
Curracloe United        2          Shelburne        0
Curracloe collected their second trophy in two days when overcoming Shelburne in the under fourteen premier play off in Rathangan on Thursday night. In a very close game, Curracloe looked the better side and created the better chances in the first half and were rewarded when Fiona Kinsella put them in front. Shelburne battled hard for an equaliser in the second half but could not break down a resolute Curracloe defence and the seasiders wrapped up the league title when Siobhan Doolan scored to secure the league title

Under Sixteen Premier Division
Kilmore United           1          Ferns United   3
An understrength Kilmore side made Ferns battle all the way before eventually losing three one. Cora Miller scored to give Kilmore the lead but goals from Rita Fortune, Aoife McClean and Rita Davitt gave the visitors all three points

Curracloe United        4          St Josephs       1
The home side edged closer and closer to the under sixteen premier title after overcoming St Josephs four one on Saturday afternoon and now need just one win from their remaing two games to wrap up the title. Aisling Lyons scored for St Josephs but two goals from Noeleen Shanhan and one each from Megan Wiley and Enya Byrne gave Curracloe all three points

MMI.ie Wexford Cup Final
Curracloe United        0          Ferns United   1
Ferns rounded off the season by lifting the MMI Wexford Cup for the third time in five years when overcoming a very brave effort from a young Curracloe side. A strong breeze did little to affect the players as both sides produced some good passing football on an excellent surface in Bunclody. Chances were kept to a minimum in the first half with both sets of defences dominating and forwards reduced to long range efforts which were easily dealt with by both keepers. The breakthrough came on thirty eight minutes when Rachel Collier got on the end of a Leona Breen pass and she calmly slotted the ball past Laura Corrigan in the Curracloe goal. The second half saw Curracloe come in search of the equaliser but could not break down a strong Ferns defence and their only serious threat came from set pieces but still found it impossible to score and Ferns held on to lift the cup. League vice chairman Barry Dempsey presented the cup to the victorious side while Ferns Uniteds Georgina Moore collected the player of the match award

League Awards Night
Next Friday will see all the divisional players of the year and divisional top scorers being presented with their awards in a function in the Stanville Lodge Hotel starting at 8-30pm. This is always a great night for the league and traditionally brings the curtain down on the season and this year should be extra special as the Wexford Youths Women will also be presented with their player of the year and top scorer awards. This night should be a great celebration of womens soccer in the county and we look forward to a great night of celebration
