Womens Soccer Dec 4th 2011

Wexford and District Womens and Schoolgirls League 04-12-2011

Under Ten Premier Division
Ballindaggin and Curracloe pulled themselves into the title race as both recorded wins on Saturday morning although its Kilmore who are now title favourites as all results went in their favour. Curracloe beat Fastnet Rovers one nil while Ballindaggin were five one winners over a young Shelbourne side

Under Ten Division One
Campile made it four wins from four when they overcame fellow title challengers Moyne Rangers one nil in a very close and exciting encounter while St Josephs and Bunclody played out a thrilling two all draw

Under Ten Division Two A
In the only match played in this division, All Blacks recorded their first win of the season as they overcame Forth Celtic two one

Under Ten Division Two B
Corach Ramblers are well clear in Division Two B fter they travelled to Glen Celtic and won two nil while Taghmon United kept themselves well in contention with a one nil win away to Killenagh Wanderers

Under Ten Division Three
Wexford Celtic joined St Leonards at the top of Division Three when they beat the Ballycullane girls three two on Saturday while Camolin Celtic sit just behind the top two after they proved too strong for a young Tombrack side, winning six one

Under Fourteen Premier Division
Only one game was played in the top division on Saturday when Curracloe beat Bree United four one to remain unbeaten and keep the pressure on leaders Shelbourne who were not in action

Under Fourteen Division One
Campile moved into the title race in Division One when overcoming league leaders Kilmore United five three in a high scoring match. Seaview v Killenagh Wanderers fell foul of the bad weather with the pitch unplayable

Under Fourteen Division Two A
In a very tightly contested division, Bunclody edged to the top after overcoming leaders Moyne Ranagers six three while Ballindaggin moved into second as they came away from Corach Ramblers with a six nil win. In the other match in the division Bridge Rovers and North End United played out a two all draw

Under Fourteen Division Two B
Camolin Celtic made it five wins from five games when beating a young All Blacks side six one while Rosslare Rangers still remain second after an eight nil win away to Wexford Celtic. New Ross Town also remain in the hunt for honours with a comfortable six nil win over a young Cloughbawn side

Under Eighteen League
St Cormacs collected their first three points of the season with a massive eleven two win away to bottom club Tombrack United while Shelbourne went top of the table with a three two win away to Seaview United

Womens Premier Division
Tramore FC     1          Ferns United   3
The top division in the league has closed right up as run away leaders Tramore were beaten three one by a resurgent Ferns side who have now moved up to third. Two goals for Liz Everedd and one from Josie Dwyer gave Ferns a very important three points against the leaders who scored through Niamh Walsh

St Cormacs      2          Killenagh Wan            1
The home side are just a point behind the leaders now as they overcame relegation threatened Killenagh two one in a tough battle. Amy Walsh continued her good scoring form with two goals for the Boolavogue girls while Leonie Gleeson did score a late goal for Killenagh

Curracloe United        3          Benfica            2
The Curracloe girls have probably did enough to ensure safety in the division after they overcame bottom club Benfica in an end to end game. Melissa Crowley and elins Grant were on target for the Waterford girls but two goals from Aoife Shiel and one from Laura Corrigan gave the seasiders the points

Adamstown    1          Seaview United          0
The home side kept in touch with the leaders as a solitary Chantelle Martin goal gave them a very important three points against a Seaview side who could do with a few more points to ensure safety.

Womens Division One A
St Josephs       2          Forth Celtic     2
The two bottom sides played out a thrilling two all draw which really did little good for either of them in their quest to avoid the drop. Ciara Rossiter scored two for Forth while Emer O Leary and Georgia Warren were on target for the home side

Enniscorthy Town       2          Coolgreaney Celtic     3
Any chance that Enniscorthy Town had of catching leaders Shelbourne were dealt a major blow when they were beaten at home by Coolgreaney Celtic. Nicola Davitt scored twice for the home side but goals from Anne Higgins, Sarah Merrigan and Audrey Whitty gave Celtic victory

Kilmore United           4          Shelbourne      5
Shelbourne are now hot favourites to take the title in Division One as they overcame Kilmore United by the odd goal in nine. Lisa Codd scored two for the home side to add to goals from Katie Lawlor and Katrina Parrock but two goals from Marcella Cullen and one each from Angie Westnott, Charlotte O Keefe and Gina Foley gave the visitors a vital three points. Kilmore had come from five one down and also had a goal disallowed in the final minute in an incident packed game

Womens Division One B
Wexford Celtic           3          Corach Ramblers        0
After Arklow withdrew from the division and points were allocated, Wexford Celtic are now an incredible nine points clear in this division after beating Corach Ramblers three nil. Two goals from Elve Lynch and one from Lorraine McMahon gave them the three points

Shilelagh United         v          Arklow United
The home side are still second after picking up this walkover from Arklow United who due to problems fielding a team have decided to withdraw from the league

Womens Division Two A
New Ross Celtic         1          All Blacks       0
Celtic remain just a point off the top after they picked up three points at home to All Blacks. Rosie Bennett scored the only goal of this very closely contested encounter

Rovers are just top of the table after they knocked in two goals at home to Taghmon

Castledockrell United 2          New Ross Town         5
New Ross Town are joint second with their neighbours New Ross Celtic after this win over bottom club Castledockrell United. Ann Carroll and Josie Murphy scored two each for Town with Lina Smitate also scoring while Alma Morris and Kelly Ann Murphy were on target for Castledockrell

Bree United    0          Moyne Rangers           1
Moyne remain top of the division after eventually breaking down the resistance of a very good home side with Ciara Tobin scoring the only goal of the match

Rosslare Strand           1          Cloughbawn    2
Cloughbawn are also well in contention for the title as are Rosslare Strand after the Clonroche side took all three points from this match. Josephine Scallon was on target for Strand while Tracey Martin and Edel Dillon scored for the visitors

The home side were too strong for bottom club Crossabeg who are having a tough debut season as Camolin knocked in fifteen against the understrenght visitors. Megan Murray scored four while Shannon Corrigan, Ciara Corrigan and Niamh O Leary scored a hat trick each to add to goals from Katie Kehoe and Alma Swaine
